(Edited to add delivery service) Ivette Diaz welcomed us as soon as we entered the store on Wednesday night, about an hour before the store closed. We told her our budget, and she showed us several brand-name, highly rated items that we had looked at online before we went in to browse. She combined two items to equate an out-of-budget item, which left us more money in-budget to go up a bit on our final necessary item. My husband and I both found Ivette to be very personable. He and I had separate requirements in reaching our joint decision, which we believe she accomplished. She has enough cultural knowledge to chat with my husband and me separately, while treating us as equals in our purchase. (When you've gone car shopping with a spouse, you may know what I mean - half the couple might be zeroed in on as the decision-maker, whether s/he REALLY IS "in charge"!) My husband and I left feeling that we made the right purchase without being pressured. We left with our purchase to be delivered tomorrow (two business days plus a weekend day later), and even factoring in the delivery charge we managed to stay within our financial parameters. I spent HOURS over the course of four days comparing stores and products. This is a purchase that has to last for years! We had narrowed down Raymour & Flanigan as one of three stores. Our dining room set came from them, but we had never shopped there ourselves. We didn't bother with the other two stores - I doubt we would have gotten better service than how Ivette Diaz represented Raymour & Flanigan. I'll follow up after delivery is completed. 6/25/2023 Well, nothing goes off without a hitch for me. The nice gentlemen who came to our home (within the communicated time frame, calling fifteen minutes before arriving) were kind enough to carry out what they couldn't bring back with them. (Free removal of our old item unless it's in the condition ours was in after XX years.) They brought with them everything we ordered. Actually, they brought a little more than we bargained for, as the main piece was the next size up / not what we ordered / didn't fit / was wrong. I was angry; but I know it wasn't their fault, and I made sure they knew that I recognize that. Before I could call customer service to find out the next step, one of the men told me he would go to the warehouse and bring it to us before the end of the day. He was as good as his word, I think the saying goes, and despite the SNAFU our order was delivered in full before 6PM. I'm grateful for the people Raymour and Flanigan trusted...
Read moreWhile the in store experience was wonderful and I still rate as a 5 star review, the delivery part of the process was not comparable. The building I live in requires elevator reservations and I kindly asked R&F to please be on time as tardiness may result in difficulty delivering the furniture. The delivery crew I had were late, and while this ended up fortunately not causing too many issues, the two gentlemen delivering were very curt and clearly ready to go home. Part of my delivery ended up being incorrect, and the two men were impatient while I quickly attempted to ensure that this was true. Before I could inquire on how to go forward with correcting the error, one mover left without a goodbye and the other left very quickly, all without asking me if I was happy where everything was placed and if I needed anything else. When the correction delivery was made, I had a very difficult and stressful time coordinating with the office on delivery times, despite hoping that this delivery would be more smooth considering my first delivery. I ended up not meeting the moving crew the second time, but the item was placed were it should be and they were kind on the phone. The good news here is that R&F was very receptive to the complaint I made on my experience. While it could have been much more organized and coordinated, everyone in the North Haven location is professional, kind, and reassuring on the phone. Alexis even made sure to follow up at the end of my experience and provided compensation for the less than satisfactory service I received. Read moreMy Wife and I went to Raymour & Flanigan in North Haven where we live. We were only going to look at tall dresser's (chest) for men because we needed to add one to our master bedroom. Upon finding the chest we liked, we ended up loving the whole bedroom set. The price was great, except we didn't realize until later on that the price was only for a 4-pc set (kind bed, night stand, women's dresser & mirror) rather than the chest being the 4th pieces. Anyway, we assisted by Chris Corcoran who was very pleasant to work with. Even though it was not made clear at first that the chest was not part of the price tag that we thought was on the showroom floor, we did end up buying the whole set ($4500 in total). We did not end up buying a mattress there because Mattress Firm (also in North Haven) was having a sale which included the free bed adjustment platform. The bed we purchased was $2000 less at Mattress Firm. My only complaint about the whole process were all the added charges... the delivery fee was $230 with no-negotiation... and the protection plan (which also kept changing because the chest was also not included in the price of the 4-pcs set price) which was an additional $360. Mattress firm not only offered the free bed adjustment but also free delivery. Regardless, the experience was an "okay" one to say the least. Chris was helpful and kind... my only issue at the end of the transaction was that he wasn't overly personable when I just spent $4500 on a bedroom set.. he just shook my hand and went back to the sales floor so he wouldn't miss...
