Love this neighborhood park. Speedwalk here for free cardio workouts. Well lighted after sunset, convenient & adequate parking around most of the perimeter, Designed that way. Well equipped playgrounds including splashpad for cooling off, gated dog runs for big & little dogs; tennis courts; basketball; skate park; community garden & picnic & barbeque pavilions. also terrific amphitheater venue for live music (whybnot musical live theater)! Convenient public bathrooms throughout lighted pedestrian paved walkways throughout & biking around perimeter. These are but a few of the amenities the local community's residents voted be included when this property was converted from a municipal golf course to a local park. There has been a shift in it's original purpose from a local recreational park toward becoming more of a commercial venue for swap meet vendors & other comercial venues who have been allowed to drive their equipment thru the park by trucks & vehicles & park causing lots of damage to the general landscaping & irrigation maintenance systems. These things affect the beauty & tranquility of this remarkable park. It certainly affects daily use for working adults affecting considerably less free use of the park & available parking. Very sad impact also notable in littering, over-crowding & overall free access by the general public. This was not supposed to be another tourist trap, but a local park for the recreational enjoyment of all. Perhaps better use of the amphitheater might improve the funds raised for upkeep & maintensnce & reduce the commercialization trend which has had such a dramatic impact on this lovely park & its natural resource. Read moreWe recently attended the Las Vegas Pride Festival at Craig Ranch Regional Park, and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The park not only served as a fantastic venue for the festival but also astounded us with its beautifully maintained grounds.
From the moment we arrived, we felt an inviting and pleasant atmosphere. The park's staff and volunteers were friendly, helpful, and ensured that everything ran smoothly for festival-goers. It's evident that the management puts in a lot of effort to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the park, which truly enhanced our overall experience.
Safety was also a top priority at Craig Ranch Regional Park. The security measures implemented during the Las Vegas Pride Festival made everyone feel secure and at ease. We observed security personnel strategically stationed throughout the park, which contributed to a sense of comfort and relaxation.
Having had such a positive experience attending the festival, I can confidently say that Craig Ranch Regional Park is an excellent place to visit, not just during events, but on any ordinary day. With its well-maintained grounds, ample amenities, and overall safe environment, it's ideal for individuals, families, and groups of friends to enjoy a day out in nature.

Read moreI recently had a very unpleasant experience at Craig Ranch Park that I feel compelled to share. On 12/18/24, I arrived at the park around 12:45 PM to enjoy some quality time with my child. As soon as I parked my car, I noticed a park patrol worker driving behind me. He then circled back and parked next to me, claiming that my vehicle's tags were expired. I promptly pointed out the current movement permit displayed in my window, which allows me to operate my vehicle. Despite this, the patrol worker insisted that my permit would expire soon. I politely asked if it was currently expired, and he confirmed it was not. However, he continued to imply that if it were, he would tell me to “move along,” which felt unnecessary and intimidating. The entire interaction was drawn out and felt harassing, especially since I had provided the necessary documentation. It's concerning that a park patrol worker would not follow proper protocol by checking for the movement permit in the window before initiating such a confrontation. I believe that park staff need better training to engage with visitors in a professional and respectful manner. Our visits to the park should be enjoyable, not marred by uncomfortable encounters with staff. I hope that management addresses this situation to ensure that future visitors have a more...
