Theyâre comfortable with life long loyal customer NOT returning. Worse customer service experience ever, whatâs worse is I feel scammed. Let me start by saying I live in Summerlin by Hualapai and Flamingo, There are several movie theatres within 5-10 minutes of my home, however I drive 27 minutes to Galaxy. My Lady and I went to see Sinnerâs. We had a lot to do that weekend, so we caught the early 12noon showing. We arrived around 11:40am and it wasnât busy with only 3 people ahead of us. There were two gentlemen behind the counter, one of them named Eli, so he says. These two guys were the slowest concession workers Iâve ever seen, to the point where we thought they were purposely being slow. By the time Eli called us to the counter, and us watching the other guy try to squeeze nacho cheese out of the bag on the cheese machine, it was 12:07. We ordered a large popcorn, two bags of candy and a large drink, which came to over $30. I remember I had a $15 concession gift card that they would not let me use the last couple of times we came in December, because it would not activate until 1/1/2025. He scanned the gift card and told me the gift card had expired. Hereâs where the scam come to play. I received the gift card because Galaxy had an offer if I purchase a $50 gift card I would get a $15 concession gift card. I ask Eli could I speak the manager(Yunuen), who Eli kept referring to me as âthis guyâ. Yumuen, who I could tell cared less about my frustration with the situation, proceeded to tell me the gift card expired 3/31/2025. I told her the last time I came I was told it was inactive due to it being too early to use and 3 months later Iâm being told it expired. I showed her the screen shot where there was no expiration date for the gift card, she told me the explanation was sent in an email. I politely told her if this cannot be resolved I would have to take my business elsewhere because at this point Iâve been scammed, she replies âYeah, it expiredâ and shrugs her shoulders in a manner saying âoh wellâ. I thanked her and paid for our food. My Lady asked Eli was there extra butter on the popcorn and he replied âYeah, why? Do you want more or something?â, in a condescending tone and demeanor. I ask for his name and managers name, he then goes to his manager(Yunuen) and says âThis guy wants our namesâ. The manger hands a customer their popcorn and tells Eli, âwhen Iâm done with this customer Iâll give it to him. I respond to her âbut youâre done with the customer, so can I have you name pleaseâ. She says well itâs difficult to spell⌠I respond âokay, spell itâ. Eli just shows us his name tag. At this point Iâm no longer second guessing about never returning. We go to the ticket counter to scan my tickets, and ironically weâre greeted by the most pleasant person in the world by the name of Arlee. Arlee caught the tail end of our situation and immediately showed empathy and connected with us. Galaxy should make Arlee manager, put Yunuen in concessions and part ways with Eli. Iâve been in Vegas over 20 years and have never been to another movie theatre other than the adults only lounge/theatre Eclipse, which is now closed. If I did go to another, itâs because I was being treated and it wasnât my choice in the matter. This Galaxy could learn a lot from the Green Valley location. Unfortunately we have to come back one more time because I have points that are worth two movie tickets, after that weâre done with all...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would! I've been coming here to watch movies for as long as I can remember I went to Galaxy theater last night to watch the one time celebration of Friday with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. Tickets=22$, 2 sodas=10.50, and not to mention the gas and time that it took to get dress and drive up to the movie theater. The employees there didn't even turn the lights down until someone went and complained and then about 10 minutes into the movie. I opened my phone to check in on Facebook that I was at the theater. I had my phone open for maybe a minute before a short pudgy girl came up to me and said "come with me!" like a Nazi. My boyfriend was confused and followed. When I got out there the girl said in a unfeeling tone. "I have to escort you out. you can't use your phone" My response was " No warning?" Her response was," I'm sorry you have to leave." Ten minutes into the movie! Am I going crazy? Or is this the most callus way to do business anyone has ever seen in their life? All of my money and time wasted and no warning? I spoke to the manager who was also a child and she said " we have no tolerance." I thought " no tolerance for customers having a good time obviously." She then arrogantly said "Miss there are warnings signs everywhere like this sign right here and the introduction before the movie (which also NEVER happened ... not that it would make this any less callus) Someone above her head is really not running there business well. Not only that the whole place is run by children who have no idea how to conduct real customer service. Come on people. What is the world coming to? Get it together. I came to watch a movie. Not get harassed by a bunch of Nazis in movie theater uniforms who are treat you like...
Read moreWriting this review after leaving the movie I paid for early, captain america: brave new world, 11:00p.m. Show time on March 7th. Auditorium 4 seat J9. The portions of the movie I got to see and hear were great, no issue with the movie whatsoever aside from not getting to finish it due to disrespectful staff. Theater closes at 11:15 p.mâŚ.so youâd expect that after being in the movie already for over well over an hour, that no one would be crashing it, right? Wrong. Probably 2/3 of the way through the movie a group of mostly women and maybe a male or two come into the Captain America showing and are immediately talking loud and laughing WHILE walking in to the row of seats either directly behind me or one further back. Doesnât stop there though, all the way through to the point I decided to say screw it and walk out they constantly laughed above the movies volume, which is outrageous in itself. I yell to keep it down once and kept my patience as long as I could. I walk out of the movie and go to speak with the front workers about it, ironically, no workers around..at all. Now obviously no one should be rolling into a movie thatâs half way over and started 15 minutes before the theater closed right? Who else could it have been, the staff. If your own staff members canât keep their mouths shut during a movie thatâs half way some people pay crazy prices for, how can you expect normal PAYING customers to keep their mouths shut during a movie. Will be calling tomorrow to speak about my refund since your staff wasnât available in assisting me with one, because they decided to ruin the last 1/3 of a movie. This isnât my first time coming to this theater, and Iâve never had this issue before. But this left a bad...
