To go into Old School Pizza, you would only assume from the menu items and the prices that is too fancy. The higher than usual prices compared to other pizza establishments, one would also assume the pizza is the same, or the manner of which the sides are plated /presentation., but you'd be wrong. The price point almost turned me away, but then again, I thought, YOLO!!!! So giving up a few dukets more to try something so surprising, why not. The kind wait staff and order taker, greeted me with friendly sentiments. The ambiance at around 7pm in the evening was dim mood lighting makng it feel like a backyard dinner. The food, I selected the Giant slice of Puzza and a side House salad. Let me tell you, the slice of pizza was taken from a previous made pizza with justt the cheese topping and then adding on more toppings at .50 cents per topping and reheated in the oven to perfection. The plating was fancy for sure. I take a bite of the pizza. A.azing taste. I k ow that water has a lot to do with the taste. But to find out in chatting with the wait staff, that the pizza is sourdough. I will give the wait staff and food were delightful. Will have to give the food and frinedly wait staff 5 stars rating but the establishment a 4 stars rating due to the unfortunate fact that they do not have any discount to honor Veterans and military. I would revist when I am back in Las Vegas. Who knows when.

Very happy with my experience here. Happened to be in neighborhood, as was soliciting another business. Heard good things, so definitely felt it was on the radar for lunch. Felt comfortable from second of arrival. The room is dressed well, clean, Italian fun music and clearly suitable chalk board menus. Pizza is obviously their specialty (even though there were other items), so opted for large slice special. Couldn't resist to get meatball sandwich too. Counter service was efficient and friendly, with constant smile. Hard working team behind him too. With COVID-19 restrictions, there was limited dining area. This was explained thoroughly as to no grey area...food was wrapped to go. All pizza topping options were uniquely awesome. I chose some white anchovies and green olives. We found the pizza delicious, well presented and excellently valued. Bread for meatball sandwich was stellar and even had extra sauce. We ate our meal at local park, just like we would have in Italy on gorgeous spring afternoon. Only complaint would be the overkill with all the condiments (and associated plastics) that were given without solicitation. Waaaaay too much waste...should ask their patrons of the needs prior. Even though venue wasn't in vicinity, may make trip back again as was excellent experience. Well done!!!

I had really high hopes for this place after seeing so many good things about it, but I just couldn't enjoy the pizza. I got the classic combo Firstly, let me start off with the dough. The dough was actually pretty good. You can tell it had love put into it. They do mean it when they say the proof is in the dough. Everything else however is where it fell short. The sauce is quite simply just bland. I understand that traditional pizza sauce is made to be as simple as possible, but the tomatoes just didn't taste right. The sauce tastes just like your average canned tomato sauce. Definitely not what I want if I'm spending $30+ on a pizza. The toppings were also kind of off-putting. The pizza itself looked really great. But when I took a bite of the pizza, it felt like the toppings were barely there. The pepperoni and sausage were kind of just "there". No flavor from the meats at all. Overall, I don't think I'm ever coming back here for pizza. The price is about what you would expect from most pizza places, but I would rather buy domino's or pizza hut if I'm buying a pizza just for the dough.

All we can say is wow.

This was our first visit to Old School Pizzeria - from a 1st choice recommendation from Siri. We read through a handful of the Yelp reviews and decided that 4.5 stars by over 500 people was a good sign.

We went in on a Tuesday night just before 8pm. About half the restaurant was full. We walked up to the counter and told the guy (Jose) that we were first timers. He walked us through the menu which was great since we didn't really know what to expect.

We ordered garlic knots and a small carnivore pizza. Knots came out first. Piping hot which was great. (Our only suggestion is to ask for marinara for dipping since you get a side of ranch with it.) They were slightly crispy and soft in the middle.

The pizza came a little bit after. It was a little greasy, but nothing less should be expected with all that meat and cheese. Nothing a napkin couldn't help with. The pizza was nice and hot also.

The toppings, what can I say about the toppings... as a first timer. I was impressed. There were strips of chicken, strips of bacon... and sure enough, the menu says homemade meatballs (that were sliced.) It was amazing. We were thinking cubed chicken with the bacon bits - like what you would get at a dominos/pizza hut setting, but this was NOTHING close to that.

After the delightful app and entree we had to try the cannoli. Sure enough - it was just like the rest of the food - Spectacular!

And of course, I think Jose should get a lot of the credit too. He staff always makes or breaks the experience as a whole. He was our greeter, cashier, waiter, etc. We only talked to him a little bit each time he came to the table, and each of those times we learned a new piece of info... the conversation really rounded the whole dining experience.

The only thing I would change is I wish you could have the option to pay at the end instead of upfront. I think we would've tipped more on the back end, then upfront when we ordered (before even trying the food or experiencing the service.)

We will DEFINITELY be...

First time we went was afew months ago and we had no issues, this time around was just very unprofessional and disappointing. I normally don’t review places but this was unfair to the guy who actually gave us some good customer service.

Firstly, we walked in and the young man kindly let us know he was alone up front and it could be a wait time. We were fine with that and was told to have a seat. The lady with the tattoos above her brow came from the back and was already hostile to awards the worker who was doing things ALONE. He was informing her of what was needed for the people waiting and he received attitude from her.

Secondly, she was told of us waiting and proceeded to do whatever it was she was doing. Once new customers came in she proceed to help them and didn’t acknowledge that we were waiting. She greeted them, gave them a menu and proceeded to leave the register. I got up and told her I was waiting to order and than she took my order. Our order was taken prior to the other customers ordering and she still catered to them first.

Lastly, in the 45minutes that we were there 2 pizzas we burned. I blame the lack of assistance to the young man who was doing everything. He kindly came to the table and let us know we had to wait an additional 20minutes while he made a new one and also offered us complimentary garlic knots while we waited.

After 2 burnt pizzas and some very impatient looking customers, another young man from the back came to assist. I’m unsure as to what made it a rough day today but it definitely left a bad impression and unsure...

Old School Pizzeria at 2040 E Craig Rd in North Las Vegas left a lot to be desired in terms of food and service. Last night, I ordered an XXLarge Combo pizza and a half dozen Garlic Rosemary Bread Knots to-go for approximately $45, including tax. While a bit pricey, I wanted to try the restaurant since it was conveniently located near my home.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the start. I was informed that my order would take 45 minutes to prepare, which seemed excessive for an XXLarge pizza, and the shop only had about five customers. As I waited, I noticed a foul odor in the air but didn't realize it was coming from my pizza until the staff informed me that it had burned due to a malfunctioning oven. The pizza was completely blackened and inedible.

The staff offered to make a new pizza for me, which they claimed would only take 15 minutes to prepare. However, when I received the replacement pizza, I realized that the first one had taken longer for a reason. The second pizza was undercooked and had a watery consistency that made it unappetizing. Even after just one slice, I couldn't bear to finish it and ended up throwing it away.

Overall, I would not recommend Old School Pizzeria for those seeking high-quality pizza and good customer service. The burnt and undercooked pizzas were not up to par with the premium prices charged by the restaurant. Additionally, the staff seemed disorganized and lacked attention to detail. For a more enjoyable pizza experience, I suggest exploring other options...
