Buyer beware!! During the buying process, Appliances 4 Less was pretty good to work with. I am not giving them a 1-star rating because of our experience during the initial buying process. I am giving them a 1-star because of the information they withheld from us!
We understood that the appliance we were buying was returned for some reason, but were never told that Appliances 4 Less or anyone else would remove the serial number from the units nullifying any manufacturer warranty and eliminating the ability of the manufacturer to support us on the appliance.
The appliance we bought looked brand new with just a small scratch. After owning the range just six months, (four months of which it was being stored in original packaging from Appliances 4 Less in a climate controlled environment) the oven stopped working altogether. (We had only used it for two months and only used the oven four times.) The igniter worked just fine; there is an electronic problem with the motherboard on the appliance. It is an electronic issue.
Thinking that the oven would still be under the manufacturers warranty or that the manufacturer could help us purchase a replacement part, I called the manufacturer. When I called the manufacturer, they asked for the serial number. The serial number sticker was ripped off prior to Appliances 4 Less selling it to us. Because there is no serial number, the manufacturer wouldn’t give me any info on the replacement parts, they wouldn’t send a technician, and they will do no work on it. They said they won’t touch it and there is no warranty.
Appliances 4 Less did not tell me that they had removed the serial number or that appliances in their store had serial numbers removed. They were not upfront on any of that. I felt we were deceived. There’s nothing in the store that indicates that the appliances don’t have serial numbers and that the manufacturer won’t support the appliances in any way. On the original purchase we saved $150-200, but because there’s no support, this purchase will cost us more than if we would’ve bought it at a retail store.
Feeling deceived, I contacted Appliances 4 Less and asked them to service it and waive the labor cost. They said just for having the technician show up, I would be charged $80. If the technician found a problem on top of that, I would be charged the labor rate for all additional work to replace the faulty parts. Therefore, all the savings I made on the original purchase are gone plus there’s no support past the three month Appliances 4 Less warranty.
Buyer beware!! I won’t buy from them again in the future. If you feel they are giving you a good deal, beware that you may lose all savings in the first...
Read more04/2021 Great company with great customer service! Will definitely reccomend to all of my family. Delivery was same day and installation was seamless. People who installed were very professional. Appliances are in great shape at 75/80% of the cost of what you would pay at home depot. Not 50% off like what any other reviews would lead you to believe. Probably family members of the business.
Update 10/18/2022: Appliances still work great so no complaint there. However, the financing is extremely shady. If you don't pay off within 100 days you get hit with a finance expense that is ungodly, which the sales rep doesn't tell you. I owed one more payment by time the 100 days was up and a finance a fee of $2k hit my account. I called beyond furious. Appliances 4 less didn't do anything to remedy the situation despite their employee's negligence. The financing company reversed the $2k fee but I had to pay a $300 fee to reverse it on top of my remaining balance. I highly reccomend not being cheap and just waiting for a holiday weekend and going to Lowes or Home Depot. You will pay around the same, but get more favorable and honest lending terms and also have manufacturers warranty. This place should only be used as an absolute last resort. And if you do use them pay cash. If you finance, MAKE SURE you pay in full within the 100 days or you will get hit with a finance fee worth more than the appliances you purchased. You have...
Read moreI bought 5 Appliances from this store all LG Appliances.None of the appliances have serial numbers. The refrigerator compressor has gone out just before the 1 year anniversary of purchase. My home warranty will not repair the refrigerator due to not having serial numbers. The store offered to take the fridge back in exchange for another fridge how ever I must pay the difference. The store offered a 2% store credit for a fridge that was over $2k. It will cost $1k or more to repair the fridge. Worst...
