Iām giving this hotel 2 stars because the lady at check in on 7/19 around 5:00 am was very polite and the hotel location was convenient for us. On the other hand, this hotel needs improvement. The remote to our TV was busted so we had a hard time changing channels. Once we unplugged the Tv and plugged it back in as the lady at the desk instructed, we was able to use it. The carpet in our room was DISGUSTING! It needs to be replaced all together. There was stains and some kind of large burn hole in the carpet. In addition, there was no room service our entire stay. Our room did not get cleaned at all. The beds were not too bad but the the blanket was a small itchy brown throw blanket . Next issue was the fire alarms going off at night. We had to leave out the next morning (14 hour drive) so it really was bothersome to deal with. We rushed out of bed and then the alarm went off. We called down and the lady said there is no fire with no further explanation. This happened 3 TIMES. My mother called down to find out what was going on but she kept hanging up in my motherās face. We went down stairs to see what is happening and she did not come to the counter at all to answer our questions. We ended up calling the fire department to report the situation of the fire alarms going off. The next morning at check out on 7/21 it was still the same lady at the counter who hung up in my mothers face. She didnāt bother to ask how our stay was or anything. She just took our cards and said āokay you are all setā. Lastly the coffee that morning was cold and bitter. I came here on a business trip with my staff and family and regret picking this hotel for us. Overall I am pretty dissatisfied with our stay here and will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice hotel. Warning The hotel just opened and there is construction around the area. You cannot hear the construction from inside of the hotel. The staff is friendly. Kimberly at the front desk was very helpful and sweet. There is no gym or continental breakfast, but they do offer breakfast in bed for about 5 or 6 bucks which is available 24/7. There are barbecue pits in the back of the hotel which is pretty cool. I've never seen a hotel offer that before, so if it's a nice day and you feel like barbecuing it is there for your convenience. My room was nice and spacious. Simple but comfortable. There is a mini kitchen, a good size bathroom, a tv with a full list of cable channels, a small table with chairs, a recliner, and of course the bed.(which was soft and comfy) The housekeeper I talked to was very kind, and she gave me extra coffee and towels. I didn't catch her name, but she was a young African American woman with a short hair cut. Like I said the staff is very friendly and want you to feel at home. There is a washer, dryer, and a business center. Fair warning you are not extremely close to the strip or the airport. You are about 15 mins away from Fremont street. There's a bunch of food places close by Buffalo Wild Wings, Dairy Queen, Tropical smoothie, Popeyes, a poke resturant, a soul food restuarant, Carl's Jr, Krispy Kreme, Canes, In n Out, Cracker Barrel, and etc. There is also a Walmart not to far away, and if you feel like going to the movies the Cannery is down the street. They have a movie theater inside of the casino. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. One of the better extended stays...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust a few words to say about my My Place experience. My family was going through the worst time of our lives where we lost everything that we owned in a fire due to squatters first and foremost we had nothing but the clothes on our backās and not a lot of money we drove around on a Sunday night searching for somewhere to lay our heads, after an exhausting, and devastating day we stopped at six hotels getting in and out of the car tired and hungry we stopped one more time before deciding to sleep in the car, we found My Place never heard of them but, it was late and my son was falling asleep my husband was on his knees praying in their lobby and I was standing in front of a man who had saw desperation in my eyes after telling him that we had been through and all we wanted tonight was to rest, and his response wasāwhat can I doā I cried so because I knew he would help us and he did he gave us a room that we paid for through the help of Red Cross and some donations from our family and friends, we were able to stay there 3 weeks, the staff was courteous and friendly the room was cleaned impeccablely, security was tight and worry free. when we left We tipped the girls who were honest enough to return my credit card I left under my pillow and cleaned the rooms. I gave Mr. Mike the biggest hug because heās good people and he was there for my family when we needed compassion and understanding. Thanks!! Mr. Mike You are our personal hero. We need more people like you.
