After 2 stays (one stay of 4 nights, the other of 10 nights) I feel this is a definite solid choice. I will be staying again in November for a 3rd business trip to the area. ||The hotel is newer and very well managed. The rooms and public areas are all clean and comfortable, other than the restroom near the laundry and gym. ||I’ve stayed in both the efficiency suite and the studio suite. They each have their good points. |In the efficiency suite, I really liked having the closet & cubbies right next to the bathroom vanity area to store things handily in the efficiency suite. However, I felt like the room didn’t have a good “relax” space without the regular couch. The efficiency has sort of a half couch/chair and it is at an angle to the TV. This room category is best for shorter stays.||The studio suite offers more of an apartment feel, but I did miss having the shelving and space for things near the bathroom vanity area. The couch area offered the extra room needed for a longer trip. I appreciated the island in the kitchen for dining and laptop work. There were plenty of hangers.||The AC in the rooms works great and I really appreciated the fan can also be set to constant run, but still allows AC to function as needed with constant fan.|I noticed there seemed to be dust built up on the intake for the air unit. ||Light pollution can be a real issue, even with solid curtains. It’s a shame they didn’t build a blackout shade into the window frame itself like found in some hotels. The lights are very bright over the pool and courtyard area, and they stay on all night. After staying directly over the pool area on the first trip, I made sure to bring a travel blackout curtain with suction cups to try to cover as much of the window on my 2nd stay. It really helped a lot. I still had to cover up the microwave clock and the nightlight on the bathroom switch because they were too bright for my sleeping preferences.||Breakfast – I only had breakfast on the weekends due to an earlier work schedule on weekdays. The offerings were presented cleanly and there was a decent variety.||Laundry room – this was my first time attempting to do laundry in a hotel and I found it frustrating competing for the 2 washers and 2 dryers on a Sunday afternoon. In fact, during my stay in late September, only 1 of the dryers was working. There was no sign posted on it, and even after I reported it and someone came to check it out, I don’t think a sign was ever placed on it to indicate it was out of order. |The nearby restroom was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. It was rather surprising considering the rest of the property always feeling so clean.||The location is good, with plenty of dining options nearby, some very easily walkable. It was convenient to I-15 (other than a few long lights) and this will be a hotel I chose for future work trips...
Read moreMy car window was smashed while I stayed att this location. 4 days later, another guests vehicle's wondow was smashed. They took nothing from either vehicle, they didn't even open the door based on the glass that fell out when I opened the door. I believe it was teenagers from the neighborhood that lines the back of the hotel. They do NOT have security at this location despite the many Hiltons around town that do, and the location is not so much unsafe, it's more so just troublesome.
The hotel itself is clean, the breakfast is lacking from what other Hiltons offer but that could be because it is still new. 1 waffle maker so if a family is making waffles for themselves, you will be waiting 15+ minutes to make yours. The server a lot of egg whites, while they get ate because there are no other egg options, I saw a lot of people open up the lid and once saw it was egg whites, they didn't eat them or I just heard a lot of people complaining about the egg whites only option even though they had them on their plate.
Staff was pleasant but only 2 of them were friendly. I understand that it is a park at your own risk situation but professionally, I did expect management to reach out to me to ask about the situation or even just assure me that they will be getting security soon. I heard nothing from management, even after telling 3 different employees about the event and 2 of those employees saying that management would want to know. The icing on the cake was when another vehicle's window was smashed. It was NOT an isolated incident.
Also, if this comment gets a reply from the management team, it doesn't change that while I was there for 2 weeks, no one reached out to me and now it is several weeks later and the only reason they had anything to say was because of keeping up appearances on their...
Read moreThis is a new hotel lobby design was very nice. Room very clean but bed too firm pillows not comfortable. Liked bathroom extras lotion soap dispensers. What annoyed me the most was they state you can pre checkin and select your room and when you do this of course they hit your credit card right away. I am fine with this as I wanted room on 4th floor. They did not honor this took my selected room gave to new guests so when I arrived they blamed the computer. I also double checked did pre checkin day b4 stay then checked day of stay later in afternoon my app still showed my room I had pre-selected. This is not the first time Hilton has done this. If you are going to offer it Honor it. The room received right across from elevator very noisy disruptive. Floors no soundproofing people above dragging furniture around dropping bags loudly. This was after 11 pm, after long travel day got very liitle sleep. So if you end up with rude people above you plan on not having a restful stay due to no soundproofing between floors. Location was very convenient lots of restaurant choices, shopping choices. Parking lot was clean well...
