The wait staff is so homely, caring and on top of my needs at the table. Of course, this stand alone solo Hotel and Casino site has it's own community. The Victories Cafe in particular, has a sign for Hotel Guest with Military or Veteran status has a 20% Discount on the bill. This is nice particularly for businesses supporting the Armed Forces. Now the food, Breakfast is served all day as well as Lunch and Dinner I presumed is served at the nominal time frames. I was in the mood for both breakfast and dinner. I seen some Fried Chicken being delivered to another table. Looked so right to my delight. I got the Chicken and Waffles (5 different pieces), the Leg was so crispy and then juicy. The other Chicken pieces looked so great know the batter that matters. BUT unfortunately, some pieces were not as juicey all the way through like the leg, but some portions of the same piece had juicy and dry meats. The other meal was a la carte Scrabbled Eggs, hash brown and Sausage. So good, I can't go wrong. All in all, the food was 4 star but the service is 5 stars easily.

We had cockroaches. There were cockroaches in the curtains. I mentioned it to a lady at the desk and she said they would try to give me some compensation back for our troubles. I got $30. In addition to the bugs we had suspicious hives and were itchy when we slept. From the very first night of our stay I requested no cleaning services yet we were charged 28.34 a day for a service fee. The cleaning staff was also very noisy in the morning. They were screaming and laughing at 5/6am and going back and forth through the halls. I know the other guests were disturbed from their sleep and mentioned the noise to the cleaning crew who ignored them and continued with the noise. When we tried to order alcohol at one of the restaurants they could not provide it because there wasn’t anyone working who was old enough to sell it. I have had good experiences here prior, but after this and especially the price I paid for this somewhat hellish stay, I cannot say that I, nor the muscle car club I am with will be staying here any longer.

Absolutely positively disgusting!!!! We ordered the bacon egg and French toast. I ordered the bacon well done because before the bacon was still raw. So we were trying to get it done but nothing like this. Bake the bacon, leave the bacon on the grill longer, I don’t care what you do but do not EVER EVER EVER……EVERRRRRRRR DEEP FRY BACON! That is such a nasty practice! Nasty! The eggs was swimming in butter! Absolutely nasty! Manager never even offered to take something off our fruit bowl or wings. Breakfast 28.00 dollars. Ayyyyyeeeee…. AVOID THIS PLACE VICTORY FOOD IS NASTY NASTY NASTY! And they charge 15 percent for to go!!!!!! That’s crazy! This is my very LAST TIME EVER COMING THERE! Do not ever go there you have been warned! The cooks are not cooking! Tea bag…. A cheap tea bag nothing spectacular or even flavored 4.29!!!!!!! Do not do it!!!! Pictures included!

I would recommend avoiding this place. Pretty gross.

We’d driven past the Cannery many times when coming into Vegas to shop, but never been in. We were in town shopping in the area and it was getting late, so we decided to stay the night. There was a special on rooms, so we decided “why not” and thought we’d stay and see a movie.

The good - the movie was great! Normal run of the mill movie theater. We had dinner at the steakhouse and the pasta was good. All of the staff we met or interacted with were great - very friendly and helpful.

The bad:

First was the $40ish resort fee that wasn’t mentioned until check in. Not a huge deal, but sort of annoying, especially since all of the amenities were closed by the time we checked in anyway. Then $100 incidental, which is more than most Hiltons. Suddenly the $78 room special came to about $233 by the time all was said and done.

The casino is extremely smoky. Just walking through to the steakhouse house and waiting at the check in counter and all of our clothes and luggage now smell like an ashtray. Most of the folks hanging out in the casino are pretty sketchy. Folks strung out or looking like they’re about to fall asleep drunk…one guy seemed to be drinking abandoned drinks… We definitely thought this was going to be a little bit nicer place, it seems to be in a decent retail area of town (maybe we’re mistaken?) and the outside looks newer. Nope. Definitely pretty trashy. Reminded me of some of the old Reno and Vegas casinos that have closed in recent years. Again…regretting the $233, we could have just gone to double tree or something.

The hotel hallways smell absolutely terrible. It smells exactly like an assisted living facility. Urine, feces, air freshener trying to cover it up…it’s real bad. Exactly that nursing home smell. And very strong. It was pretty hard to stomach walking from the elevator to the room each time.

The room smelled smoky and they had used really really really strong air freshener to try and cover it. The air freshener was almost overpowering and smelled like urinal cakes. The room was sort of clean(?), but rundown. There’s only so much you can do when it gets like that.

The towels and linens were over used - they had that musty smell to them and the scratchy kind of “bleached too many times” quality. Chips around the doors, edges of the laminate furniture and the mirror. Gross vents covered in dust and smoke residue. Sticky/grimy remote control, alarm clock and light switches. The pillows were definitely overused and needed to be replaced - they smelled bad, like thrift shop. The little brown blanket under the duvet was also in really bad shape. Drink rings on the nightstand. The bottom of the tub was black/gray with stains - I wore my sandals in the shower because it looked so dirty.

The hallways and the room grossed me out. We almost left and got another room, but it was late after the movie and we already smelled like smoke from walking through the casino, so we decided to just bite the bullet and stay. But it was not comfortable being that grossed out. We pulled the duvet up over the pillows and just slept on top of it.

Despite checkout being at 11am, housekeeping knocked on the door and then tried to enter the room at exactly 8:11 in the morning. We said we were sleeping but they apparently didn’t hear and came in anyway, then apologized and left. I just don’t understand - if you want housekeeping to come in at 8, make checkout at 8, not 11. Or at least wait until the guest has checked out before you send them in early. I had hoped to sleep in a bit before a long drive, but this woke us up and we weren’t going to get back to sleep. We ended up checking out by 9, which was probably for the best.

Our luggage and clothes smell absolutely terrible after staying here. Like smoke and thrift shop and urinal cakes. The long drive today isn’t going to be great.

Overall a pretty gross experience. We will definitely not be back. I will say that the staff all seem really nice and helpful, but the...

We decided to stay here because the hotel had good reviews with delta sky miles hotels. These people were lying about their reviews. One thing people did say were the towels were not the best and you can smell the cigarette smoke from the casino. I meant to bring towels but forgot and I thought because our room was pretty far from the casino we would be okay. I was completely incorrect. You could smell cigarette smoke in our room idk if someone was smoking in a non smoking room but we were told they were all nonsmoking and the smell was very strong. What disappointed me the most was the false advertising they do with the photos they have posted online the uh rooms look nothing like the photos. It appears your room is updated clean and bright. These rooms are outdated, the temperature controls from the rooms are probably from the 80s if not older, making it were you couldn’t set a temp and it have auto on and off. So the room was either to hold or to cold. The shower curtains are not the right length for the shower so you have to do everything in your power to not flood the bathroom floor, the beds are hard and the pillows are like sleeping with folder up cardboard. The checkin was painful, it’s a very small desk area in the middle of the casino and looks old and outdated. There was only one person trying to answer questions, help a guest find their reservation and check guest in. I stood there so long when I walked out I smelled like a smoking chimney. I think guest would have a better experience in the front desk was not in the casino and by its self. Even though we had issues with the physical hotel we were close to the track and restaurants which was nice coming back from the track starving. We will not be staying here and I will not recommend this hotel to any one.

** update per request I send a message to be able to get to the bottom of the issues. To also add we left medication in the room and they will not sent it via mail but per the supervisor they will mail clothing and that is it. Even electronic they won’t ship because if it gets lost in the mail it is on them. I told him that was incorrect that if they provide the guest tracking and they loss it it’s in the post office, ups or fedex not the hotel. I was still informed they keep the stuff unless you drive back or fly back to pick it up. That seems a...

I first went to purchase concert tickets then it was time to play. My favorite game is without a doubt China Shores. After playing around $60 on China Shores, I walked away from the machine with 327.18. Not bad at all. My second favorite machine is Coyote Moon. I played about $45 and lost it all. Still ahead. I took a break and visited their buffet. Let me tell you, it's worth every penny and everything was delicious. My only complaint is that the mashed potatoes weren't hot. They were lukewarm at best. The cocktail waitresses on the casino floor are a bit slow. They're all very nice and helpful, just a little slow. I then played Wolf Run and won back the $45 I'd lost earlier plus another $29. I then played Ducks In a Row and accidentally hit the MAX button. Wouldn't you know, I won $244! Not bad! All in all, the casino bought my concert tickets, dinner, a few Pepsi's, and gave me extra cash to buy a new outfit and shoes to wear to the concert. Thanks for the great time Cannery Hotel Casino! UPDATE Since reopening, the slots are tight! Not many winners. UPDATE X2 Don't bother. Slots are super tight now and the cards don't work to give you points about 50% of the time. UPDATEX3 Slots are a little better at payouts but with any casino it's hit or miss. I can see that players hit better at games closer to the entrance/exit. I walked around and sat and watched and listened. Cards work fine and they announce jackpot winners on the game screens while you play. Unfortunately, one of them wasn't myself nor anyone around me. They're getting better with cocktail service but still fall far below standard. Not many Cocktail Waitresses on the floor. They're doing the best they can. They are a lot nicer than what I...
