Astro Rents — Attraction in North Plainfield

Absolutely terrible and unreliable!! Been there a few times and every time have received extremely low quality/broken machinery. Some of the staff was very helpful and apologetic for the inconvenience BUT management was very UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISGUSTING IN ATTITUDE(what a horrific experience this last time!!) In separate occasions I got loaded with 2 different machines because they weren't working properly. Then I get promised this one is "working perfectly" ... just to arrive on site, use it for one/two hours and then leave me and my guys hanging WITH 2- 3AXLE TRUCKS FULL OF HOT ASPHALT!!! (I'm a contractor and having machinery brake down in the middle of a project with material on site... is a nightmare!!!) Analyzing the situation... seems like they are ripping people off, I would even call it fraud! Probably the bbb isnt aware of this! They turn on the machine and get it "running" in front of you.... you use it for a little before it breaks down completly ...then still want to charge you full price!! When in reality there was no way to use the machine at its full capacity/time because its BROKEN!!! THEY ARE VERY AWARE OF THE CONDITIONS OF THEIR MACHINERY!

Things happen sometimes, which is why I gave them another try. But beign this is multiple times I end up with unreliable/broken machinery I don't recommend!!! I do recommend Woods rental which is not too far down 22. I've rented a couple times and I've received good brand and like new machinery. Customer service was great and...

We highly recommend Astro Rentals for your next project! We rented a Bobcat MT 100 for the second time for a big project in the garden of our Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witnesses in Plainfield, NJ and we were more than satisfied with their service. Customer service, specifically Mike the first time we rented in July and Juan this time around in November 2024 , both showed professionalism and at the same time personal interest, accommodating our schedule for delivery and pick up . Also the communication throughout the process was excellent, from beginning to end, sending us quotes , and finally receipts by emails and at the same time communicating through texts or phone calls according to OUR needs. We will definitely rent from Astro again for our future...

Ok 1st, Made a Big mistake in renting a Power Rake from HMDp. Machine was sent out , with a bone dry gas tank. Fill with fresh gas at home , machine kept dying on me. Finally called back to Hmdp, no help no consideration dealing with my problem. Was Told to bring back, because was told No, they wouldn't bring a different machine. Ok end up breaking my rear wind coming back to return . That was March 7th Today went to Astro Rental, Real compassion and Excellent customer service. Oldschool...Special Thanks to Jeff . He was my 1st contact in the Yard..These are the type of workers you miss. Just Excellent customer service. Thanks again, you have no idea how much you help an old retired construction worker .Just wanting to hsve his yard...
