Howard Johnson by Wyndham North Plainfield — Attraction in North Plainfield

Where do I begin?? 1. Charged so much more than usual because of golf tournament, keep in mind you do not get more. 2. Check in was fast but could not understand gentleman, very terrible for customer service. 3. The stairwell and hall smells so bad I nearly gagged. 4. Entering my King Handicap room I could tell right away it was going to be bad. Three of the four flat pillows had head prints with long black hairs on them, nasty!!!! Plus there was no safety rails in the bathroom. 5. I had no slippers so I wore my socks, they are black now. I'm leaving them here for these people to see. 6. There is a strong odor of cat urine under the desk. 7. Desk chair broken. 8. Mattress support was bent outward and covered by bed skirt, I walked by and scraped, buised and have a lump under my skin on my right calf. 9. During maid service they scrubbed the toilet, tub and sink with the same brush. 10. Screens are ripped everywhere. 11. A/C is loud and does not work on high mode. 12. Outer doors left open all night, anyone can get in. 13. Room 134 has a trash can right outside the window and people slammed trash all night, I was woke up 5 times in one night. 14. I accidentally spilled my drink on the blanket and asked for a new one, I waited 3 hours until they washed the one I gave them which tells me they rarely if ever clean them. That is just nasty. 15. WIFI is free because you keep getting disconnected. 16. The water stinks so bad. I'm very dissatisfied with my stay after spending nearly 400.00 for 3 nights. Never used the free breakfast because that too was awful. This place has basically no amenities for the price they are charging. A view of nothing. Tiny room, tiny bathroom and the furniture is very beat up, sign says newly renovated, NOT!! Worst Howard Johnson Hotel ever!!!!! I gave this place 1 star because that's as low as you go. It's about a -5 stars instead. I can't believe this motel is in the Wyndym group, doesn't help them at all. Based on everything, this place is equal to a hotel that charges by the hour. I asked for an AARP discount at check in and was refused. I think that's why they gave me the crappiest...

This hotel used to be good, now, is the worst place to stay. The last few years, it has changed completely. I remember how clean it used to be in 2005 and 2006. Now, the cleaning people can not see you walking out, without asking what's your room number and are you checking out.

I used to stay there for days, sometimes weeks and no problems. Now, if you stay more than one night, the cleaning people wont clean, they just bring towels and that's it.

The last time I stayed there for more than one night, my room was not clean at all, nor they brought me more towels. I called the front desk and for my surprise, they said that their cleaning people already brought me towels and their cleaning people wouldn't lie (he basically called me a liar). At that point, I invited the front desk person to come and take a look at the room, he says: Oh, I am sorry, we were thinking of the wrong room. He says: I will send someone to bring you towelt. I said: Is okay and yes please, send some to bring me towels, thank you.

For my surprise, an older lady came over all mad, like she wanted to hurt me with her looks. Then I asked her if she could brought me ONE more towel for my girlfriend and I. She said loudly: No, you only get this!

At that point, I said to her: Hey, I am paying full price here and my room was no cleaned and here you are telling me that I only get one towel.

Then she said: Okay, come to the laundry room to get one more.

I will never, ever, go back to this nasty hotel with BED BUGS AGAIN... This is just not right and nasty.

Save yourself a bad experience and spend your money in the next town: South Plainfield Hotels are much cleaner and professional.

I hope the health department shouts down this...

This hotel is terrible the house keepers are India not to be racist but I can't understand a thing they say when you tell them to repeat things they get upset and contact the front offices the hallways smell like weed when you walk in the carpets are wet and smell like meldo they do not clean your room right and I ask for customer service they only clean my bathroom, when I ask repeatly can they wipe down the dressers and the tub and vacuum the carpets, and if things can't get worser it takes three people to clean one room the rooms are not that big I would see if this was a 5star hotel buts it not it should not have to take 3 people to clean one room the breakfast is terrible if you have kids make shore you check there food because you made ght find mold on the bagels they do not clean the counders right the lady that works in the breakfast area is very rude to my kids and myself, when I tell the front desk all they do is say sorry and walk away, the house keepers do not communcate very well the windows do not lock the tolets keep plugging up and leaking alot of water out I can't tell you how discussed I am with this hotel there's always noises around in the hotel they have roaches and bedbugs they don't change the sheets pellow cases,one of my kids caught pink eye i have to proberly clean my own room for my kids safety and myself, we need to make awareness of this hotel so they could change and inpove the rooms and the house keepers and overall this...
