Polished Boutique — Attraction in North Port

Can’t even count how many nail salons I’ve visited in the Port Charlotte, North Port and Venice areas. This one I found by accident and feel I’ve finally found THE ONE!! Friendly and professional, on time and even served a glass of wine during my pedi. I had the pleasure of seeing Eden and she is so conscientious of preserving our nails, she does quite a bit of the filing by hand. You’d think this would be too time consuming but it wasn’t. Eden was simply amazing. Like I said, I’ve been to dozens of salons in the area. My experience has been mixed, some refusing to do acrylics stating the dip is healthier. Yeah right. I had to remove my dipped nails during covid and I can tell you my nails were just as thin and brittle as with the acrylic. Some salons didn’t seem clean, some were unwelcoming, some would switch the nail tech prior to my arrival without calling me, some got sloppy over time and some charged different prices with no consistency. So even though this was my first time at this salon, my initial impression (which is usually spot on) is that this is a well run salon. It’s beautiful inside. Not your typical shop that has rows of techs and pedi chairs set up one after the other and no privacy!!The Polished Boutique takes that experience up a huge notch. Beautiful pedi room separate from the nail room. Disposable type containers for you to soak in and not question who had their feet in it before you. It is dimly lit but the tech used a high intensity lamp to do a perfect job. Then I transitioned to the nail room which was bright and pretty. If you like to feel pampered in a stress free environment with professional and knowledgeable nail techs then this is your place. I would like to take the time to respond to the owners comments of my previous "Extremely Poor and Unprofessional" Customer Service Rating. I would like to start by saying that I did make the appointment with the owners husband. He did ask me questions about my nails and the services I needed and I did tell him that I needed my current nails removed. It had been a long time since I had my nails done and my nails were long overdue. That is why I wanted a "New and Fresh" set put on. Also I made my appointment 2 weeks ahead of time to accommodate my needs. I was leaving the state to attend a Wedding and I wanted my nails to look there best for my vacation. My appointment was at 9:00am and I was Early for it. You stated your birthday party was at 11:30am. That gave you 2 1/2 hours to complete my Pink and White Set and Gel Pedicure! You mean to tell me my appointment would of been longer than that!! I don't think so!! Also, if Soaking my nails was such an issue, then do my pedicure 1st and while that was being done you could of put my nails in a solution to Soak!! Problem solved!!! Also, The girl who was going to do my nails was lovely. She kept telling me, Don't worry I will make your nails look great for the Wedding. It was You, who would not leave me alone and kept asking me, while you were doing another person's nails, what I decided to do, a pedicure or a manicure not both!! You made me feel so uncomfortable!! I was very embarrassed and that is when i decided to leave. Don't pretend that you were trying to accommodate my needs when all you were worried about was accommodating your own!!
