Very clean and fun place -- but they clearly do not want kids with disabilities there and do not cater well to them. We have had multiple experiences where it was loud due to construction and the front desk person told me we needed to be sure to check and come only at times when it is quiet (meaning they have no desire to try to make this a more ADA-friendly environment). Other than the rude front desk worker (who also made signing up for a membership incredibly difficult) and their desire to only cater to "typical" kids, I have nothing but great things to say about this place and it is by far the cleanest kids indoor playground around. However, they have been very unwelcoming to my one child on the spectrum and we will likely be discontinuing our membership. In summary: If your kid is typical, this place is awesome! If they aren't, proceed with caution. Unfortunately, this is a systemic issue and makes it clear why We Rock the Spectrum is/was able to command the price tag they were -- they are committed to filling a need that is extremely...
Read moreWe had a blast at Joyville! We attended the grand opening and everything was great- exceeded my expectations!! When we first walked in, we were greeted by the very friendly staff and they even took the time to give us a quick tour of the place so we knew where everything was. The climbing structure is absolutely amazing. Not only is it so much fun but it challenges the kids both mentally and physically- love that! My 4 year old and 2 year old had so much fun climbing up all the different ways, going down the giant slides and, of course, sliding into the ball pit was the biggest hit! They also spent some time playing in the kitchen, doll house and Target check out! I have a 2 month old so I checked out the baby room and I am so excited for her to be old enough to go in. There is a mini climbing structure, toys and other baby items. I love that Joyville accommodates many ages so we can attend as a family and everyone can have fun! Thanks to the staff at Joyville for opening this amazing indoor playground- we will...
Read moreWe absolutely love this place. It’s fun, clean, and suited for toddlers. However, there’s a few things I’ve noticed that I think should be taken into account.
This place is so awesome that it gets crowded way too fast. Reservations should not be for weekends only, but should be for every day.
8 years old seems too old for a place like this and it’s dangerous for the toddlers who are only two. The cut off should be 5 years old. My son, along with multiple other kids, kept getting hurt from the older kids not paying attention, or being obnoxious on purpose. Unfortunately parents aren’t paying attention to their kids so they aren’t being corrected. If your child is over 4, they should understand to wait until the bottom of the slide is clear before going down it so they don’t hurt someone much smaller than them.
More than 1 staff member should be visible and available at a time.
Other than that, we are thankful for this play space and will...
