I visited tonight for dinner with my mother and was treated very nicely by all of the staff there! We had the charcuterie plate and oysters to start, and it was a fantastic beginning to our meal. The salmon was smoked in house, and the chefs and restaurant manager worked together to make a delicious fig spread and a great date spread. For my main course I had the duck breast entree, which balanced flavors very well between the jus, the marbled balsamic reduction pumpkin/potato mash, kale, and savory cranberry sauce. My mom had the kale salad, which was hearty and had a bold variety of nuts and fruits mixed together with the kale (I regret not trying it--it looked delicious). To finish things off we shared the flaky pecan tart and my favorite dessert: the heavenly creation, which is a mini molten lava cake over vanilla bean creme brulee.
Our server Melinda was very knowledgable and friendly, and took great care of us throughout the meal in a professional way that still made me feel at home. All of the staff were very lovely and enhanced my mom's and my experience. At the end Melinda made me a Bistro rewards card because we both know I'll be back in the...
Read moreNo longer impressed! This used to be one of our favorites but last night left us with a bad taste in our mouths! We arrived at 4:45 no reservations asked to sit outside. The hostess was going to let us but then a tall young male came over and said Nope can’t do that. Okay fine we didn’t have reservations so they seated us in front of the window to where they seat you outside. Only one table was occupied and it stayed that way for 45 minutes. Bye the time we left 5:45 there were still 3 empty tables and the other tables only had drinks served. Our meals were only so so! Chicken Parmigiana was drowning in sauce. Seared shrimp scampi was a little too salty for me and took most of it home. The burger was just a burger! What prompted me to write this review was not just that they wouldn’t accommodate our seating request when they clearly could have, it was the waitress upon leaving was standing at the bar watched us approach and purposely turned her back! Really you couldn’t say goodbye have a good evening. We have eaten here many times and have always had a good experience! Just goes to show you interactions with the customers will leave a...
Read moreI was staying in the hotel and we ordered take out once since they don’t do room service. I ordered in person with my two toddlers. We told the gentleman we would stand right in the lobby and wait for the food. I ordered Caesar salad and a kids PB&J so I assumed it would all be very quick since nothing had to be cooked. We waited 10, 15, 20 minutes until I finally stepped right into the restaurant and I realized our bag of food was sitting on the desk, next to the same gentleman at took our order and saw us standing in the hall waiting for it. When I asked him if it was ours, he said yes and rang us out. I don’t know why he didn’t actually ever tell me that our food was sitting there and left us waiting for twenty minutes. The Caesar salad was fine, just a Tupperware of lettuce, parmesan and some croutons with dressing on the side. The kids PB&J was horrible, and I don’t blame either of my children for refusing to eat it. It was, for some reason, a triple decker, but barely a smear of peanut butter, and the jelly looked as if it came chopped up from a can of cranberry jelly. Really disappointed and did not return after...
