My whole family LOVES Escape Room Novi!!! We all live kind of far from each other, so our family's "thing" is that when we get together, we go to an escape room. When we all met up in Michigan about a week ago, we decided to go to Escape Room Novi, and had so much fun with the first room, that we came back a few days later to do another one. Honestly, we would have done a third but we ran out of time!
Beyond just the variety of rooms (I believe they have 8 full rooms and 2 "mini" rooms) available, each room has its own type of challenges -- some are more number-focused, some are all about colors, pictures, etc. -- and they have rooms catered to different difficulty and maturity levels. We did the Blind Tiger Speakeasy and Neverland rooms (would highly recommend either), and loved how different they were from each other.
You can also tell the staff love their jobs because they are so enthusiastic, and they really will do whatever they can to help you solve your room before time runs out -- you just have to ask!
The only very minor thing I would complain about is that at this escape room, you have to wait 15 minutes before you can ask for a clue so that you have a chance to "get acclimated to the room". That was fine for a bigger room/room where you have to take a lot of steps before another room and set of puzzles becomes available, however in the Neverland room (without giving too much away), you start in a very small room with not many puzzles. Our group had the issue where we solved the whole first room in 5 minutes and were stuck on the last step before the next, much larger space. We had to wait 10 minutes to ask how to get into the next room, and it ended up resulting in us barely not finishing the Neverland escape room as a whole.
All in all, I would definitely come back and would highly recommend this escape room to anyone! I just wanted to share thoughts on the 15-minute clue rule for such a small starting room in case it gets read and...
Read moreWe recently visited the escape room for Nick's birthday celebration, and we had an absolute blast! The Peter Pan room provided an immersive experience that transported us to Neverland. The room was beautifully designed, with intricate details and clever puzzles that truly captured the essence of the story.
Working together as a team of six, we found ourselves fully engaged from the moment we stepped into the room. The puzzles were challenging yet fair, requiring us to think critically and collaborate to piece together the clues. The room's atmosphere and theme added an extra layer of excitement and made us feel like we were part of Peter Pan's adventurous world.
The game flow was smooth and well-paced, keeping us on our toes throughout. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing just the right amount of hints when we needed them. We appreciated their enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring we had an enjoyable experience.
It was particularly thrilling to solve the final puzzle with 17 minutes to spare! The sense of accomplishment and teamwork was exhilarating, leaving us with an unforgettable memory. We couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate Nick's birthday.
Overall, the Peter Pan escape room was a fantastic experience that exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking an immersive and challenging adventure. Get ready to unleash your inner Lost Boy or Wendy as you embark on a journey...

I was so impressed with the mix of puzzles. They did an amazing job incorporating different locks to keep things fresh (combo, key, and magnetic). The coding for the more complicated locks was all spot on - we did not have any issues where the lock did not work even though we entered the correct code. The audio cue when you figured out a puzzle was an excellent touch. Thinking back, all of the puzzles were VERY fair. Everything you needed to solve the puzzles was 100% obtainable and could be figured out. I was very impressed that they did NOT need to rely on chance at all.
Our game master Erica was very engaging and helpful. She prompted the first puzzles we should start working on perfectly and was very responsive when we needed help. There were a few times she intervened when we had the correct answer to the puzzle but were not entering it right or something small like that. Some people that may bother, but I thought it made it more enjoyable.
My only complaint was the TV in the room did not live update when we used a clue which would have been nice. We used 2 officially, but I think Erica was being a little generous. I highly recommend this escape room and trust me, when she says do not use your flashlight, listen! That was one of the coolest parts...
