Weinstein's is a fantastic local jeweler in Southeast Michigan! If you're looking to by an engagement or wedding ring or have some quality work done on jewelry, I would highly recommend this place. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable, fair and helpful and incredibly pleasant to work with. There's an impressive selection of used jewelry to buy and plenty of stock options that the store can order, but I feel like this place really shines because it has the expertise and ability to make custom jewelry. My girlfriend and I went to Weinstein's to purchase an engagement ring with a little bit of and idea in mind and staff were very helpful guiding us through catalogs to try to find something that fit our idea, but we found out that the stock options just didn't have what we wanted. We ended up designing our own ring with Weinstein's help and the process was fantastic. The jewelers at the shop have a great eye for pretty things and are incredibly knowledgeable about stone settings and types and how to design a perfect right. They have the ability to make a 3D design in wake to let you see your ring and the ability to cast the ring out of a metal of your choice and set stones in it. I thought it would cost a fortune, but Weinstein's was able to keep us well within our budget while still getting everything we wanted (and probably at higher quality than stock rings). My Fiance and I had our wedding rings custom made by Weinstein's. Sonny helped us with the details and consultation, giving us excellent recommendations during the design process. My Fiance's ring was perfect in the first rendering we were given of the final design. We went through a few design revisions on my ring because the setting for the central stone was unique, but it turned out absolutely perfect in the end! Gary Weinstein stayed in very close contact during the revisions process to make sure no detail was misunderstood or missed. He was patient during the back and forth, and was happy to explain how certain design choices would impact the robustness of the ring. I really appreciate the care and effort put in to ensure my ring would last a long time. When we picked up our rings Sonny was super excited to show them to us, which was lovely to see. My fiance didn't want to wait until the wedding to start wearing his. He hasn't taken it off since we got it.

We found them first when I needed to have my engagement ring resized from a 7 to a 5.75. The band was artistically "organic" with a lot of holes and free-form texture. It was a challenging band to resize because of the details. They did an amazing job there too. When soldering everything back together the original design was left as undisturbed as possible. If you didn't know the band was resized you could have never guessed.

I love that Weinstein Jewelers has unique designs that I saw nowhere else. I was so tired of seeing the same thing everywhere until I walked into their shop. I also enjoyed the very personal and friendly attention I received from the moment I walked in the door. My wife LOVES her ring and receives compliments about the unique design on a regular basis.
