Yosemite Valley Trailhead Parking — Attraction in Oakhurst

This is a nice parking lot. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This parking lot is a large gravel parking lot where people can park to access the Mist Falls trailhead. I came here early in the morning on a Saturday and there were still a cloudless rows of parking available, but when I left around noon it was completely full. There was a large pothole here, but other than that the parking lot was good. I gave this parking lot five stars because it has a good amount of spots. This place is getting crowded. It's a great parking area for trips into the Yosemite backcountry and for rock climbing on Glacier Point. Somehow we need more parking in Yosemite. However, cudos to the National Park Service for installing bear boxes and offering this area to head into the beautiful place that is Yosemite. It seems that there could be a shuttle bus stop here, but instead you must walk back to Curry Village to get the shuttle bus to Happy Isles. It's easier to walk to...

Not really sure which one this is. They have put in a large new day parking area south of the Village Store. Also, parking by Half Dome Village (formerly known as Curry Village), as well as opposite of the valley campground. Reminder: there are always bears. Clean out your vehicles.
