The service here was wonderful. We're definitely going back for pizza! The pizza here is soooo good but be warned, this place is BYOK (bring your own ketchup)... they said it's because they don't serve fries but they have burgers so we found the lack of ketchup or American cheese odd. This is not your typical pizza shop, it had more of a gastro pub vibe. If you are a cheesesteak connoisseur, do not order one here unless you're a non-traditionalist - it isn't chopped steak, it is a square meat patty, which is placed haphazardly on a roll which is seemingly half the size that it should be. But it didn't taste bad, it was just different. The zucchini appetizer was so good - I'd venture to say some of the best I've had. Aside from being incredibly small, I thought the smoked teriyaki wings were incredible but my husband disagreed because he didn't like the char flavor. Normally, I'd never order Seafood scampi from a place with pizza in the name (managing expectations) but after seeing the variety on their menu, I did - the flavor was great but the shrimp...
Read moreI tried this place twice and was disappointed twice. The first time we went for late night happy hour and the service was great, but they had ran out of pizza!!? I was shocked that a pizza place in OC during 4th of July week would be out of pizza dough, but the owner personally apologized to us. He was very friendly and the bar tender also gave great service. They have a good beer selection, and the buildout was pretty nice. We tried it again a few weeks later. The bartender was different and told us that they close at 10 and there is no more late night happy hour. We still got a pizza anyway and it was not good, especially for how expensive it is. The bartender was also rude, openly drinking liquor while he was working, and clearly wanted us to leave so he could close! Really was hoping this place would get their act together but it doesn't look...
Read moreBring back the original owner. I'm not a local but found this secret spot by word of mouth when Darren was the owner. New employess have ruined what it was. Dough seemed the same...pepperoni is not thick cut anymore...just the cheap Dollar store no flavor pep. No green peppers avaliable as a topping. The plating presentation is not of Darren's caliber. Asked for extra sauce..of course pizza sauce for dipping my crust in....wow and it was served cold. A few years ago they would run out of pizza dough and there would be a wait to be seated...thats a good sign. Now no crowd...hmmm...that should tell you something. Dont support!! New owners will not benefit from my wallet again. Sad to see...
