Pretty cool place if you’re looking to buy used/new Lego sets. However, a COMPLETE joke if you’re looking to sell your sets. I brought in 8 sets total, all of which were disassembled (not missing any parts, neatly separated and bagged/labeled), all had instructions, and two sets were unopened/had original packaging. Collectively, these sets cost me around $400-$500. Of course, being used, I don’t expect to receive anything close to this. But guess how much I was offered. $20 bro. I was offered a trip to Taco Bell. I laughed and took everything and left. You’re better off throwing all your legos off the side of I-5 instead of bringing them here. Dude that came in before me brought 3 complete sets that were assembled and got $250 cash. You mean to tell me that the value decreases THAT MUCH for it being dissembled? “It’s because we would have to pay someone to rebuild them”. Bro, they’re Lego sets, not a rocket ship. 50% of your job should be assembling Legos. I would have rather just got punched in the face instead of the offer I received. I feel i would have appreciated that more.
Update After rebuilding all the sets I brought in from my first visit, I expected to surely receive a more generous offer. $73!!! I had to BEG for $80. I literally got 4 trips to Taco Bell instead of 1. Also, I overheard one of the employees telling a couple of customers “Our owner overheard you on the store cameras and would love to have you bring in your collection”. So if you don’t mind having someone listening in on your conversations/interactions and receiving dirt low offers for your stuff, this is the perfect...
Read moreAs a person who travels all around the US and goes around to all the Lego stores and mom pop shops which also includes Bricks & Minifig stores this is by far one of the best I’ve been in! People please understand that brick and mortar stores have a lot of overhead to be able to provide a place for you come in and grow you Lego passion and hobby! I love the staff they are extremely friendly and knowledgeable! The selection of sets used and new are great! The minifigure selection is amazing! If you ever have any questions they are always happy to answer them too! And on top of that this store specifically holds events for the local community to bring in your family to build for either free or a reasonable price ($5-$50) depending on what it is. But either way I wouldn’t turn a blind eye to a single Bricks & Minifigs store and this store is a perfect example of one I’d keep bookmarked/ favorited to come back to. And on top of that the owners actually work in the store! Not very often nowadays do you see the owners putting in the same time and work as their employees and I truly respect that! I will continue to come back to this store time and time again! Also I love to support local stores over big box stores. Thank you...
Read moreI came in to Bricks & Minifigs Carlsbad to build 10 custom minifigs for a work event and was blown away by the level of customer service. The team went above and beyond — helping me find the right skin tones for the faces and matching hands, and offering creative suggestions to bring each minifig’s personality to life. I was especially impressed by the range of minifigure skin tones available — something I hadn’t been able to find online — which allowed me to represent my diverse team exactly as I had hoped.
Their selection of Lego minifigure accessories was fantastic, and they made the whole custom minifig building process fun and thoughtful. I spent quite a bit of time working on these, and the staff made the experience really comfortable — even bringing me a chair while I built. They were kind, helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed.
While I was there, I also noticed how popular the build-your-own minifig station was with kids. It’s such a great and affordable activity for families, and a fun way for kids to get creative with Lego. Whether you’re shopping for collectible Lego minifigs and sets or looking to build your own custom figures, this store is a gem....
