I was just in the Old Bridge store yesterday for the first time and was horrified to see books thrown everywhere in completely wrong sections, and just plain trashed! Meanwhile, employees stand around playing and texting on their phones and talk to each other while nothing is being done to organize the book section. There is plenty of work for them to do that. Iām sure it would last at least three days due to the fact that the majority of the book section is trashed unattended and just plain ignored. I was very shocked to see this since all the pictures online of the old bridge store show a completely organized and neatly kept book section when I got there. It looked like a hurricane had come through and the people working there could care less.
Other customers who ventured over to the Book section also expressed their discus and distaste at the lackadaisical attitude and complete laziness of the employees who would do nothing organize or fix the book section. Those employees would have rather sat around playing on their phones and talking to each other instead of taking any input from Paying customers. It is apparently obvious that these employees donāt want to take the time to actually do work because frankly, I believe they are way under qualified to even read the titles and figure out where those books should go let alone just make them look neat and presentable, even if theyāre in the wrong section.
It is disgusting to see Bibles laying on the floorļæ¼.
This is only my second Ollie that Iāve been in the first being the Hamilton, New Jersey location which is completely organized and run by caring diligent employees. I donāt think I will be going back to Ollieās in Old Bridge New Jersey except to take and post pictures of this disgrace and expose the laziness of the employees and management in that store. They should get their act together and treat the book section with a little bit more respect as well as take input from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot the best Ollies for being organized and clean. It was close to store closing time and an employee was chasing people around the store rushing them up to the register where there was only on person checking out creating a very long line. He was pretty rude and was following me around saying the store was closing soon. The cashier woman was most kind and rolled her eyes at him but it was pretty obnoxious since we still had to wait 15 minute in line. They definitely need more cashiers or have people to help rather than chase people around the store and be rude to customers. First and LAST time to this Ollies!!! Then when going to the car is see the employee is socializing with a few women in the parking lot as he puts items in their car for them. Where is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time visiting an Ollieās after hearing about them for some time. The store opened within the past month and itās already a little messy. I only saw a couple employees on the floor and the check-out line was really long, they had to call someone in to help checking. I am not sure but they may be understaffed and not able to keep up with the messes being created by the shoppers.
I found a few great bargains here, including some printed hand towels and some character Pyrex bowls. I did find myself skipping over some areas of the store due to the mess. Iām hopeful things might clear up a bit after theyāve had some more time to adjust after grand opening. I donāt think I will return soon but ultimately would be open to giving them...
