Mary Jane's House of Glass — Attraction in Olympia

I want to first say, I loved this place they always had quality pieces and great customer service. I'm a long time customer of Mary Janes going back to a couple years ago when I lived in Vancouver washington, I've personally given them lots of business over the years, I also work at a local recreational cannabis shop and literally recommend Mary Janes of tumwater to anyone that is looking for a piece, vape set up, synthetic urine even recommended them for someone looking for candles and incense. Except that all changed for me two days ago, I purchased a replacement oil pen top (by the OG pen company) to replace my old coils that had gotten clogged and dirty on my existing OG pen that I had previously bought a few months ago from Mary Janes of tumwater. The employee told me specifically that this replacement pen top would work fine for my battery, which at first the new pen top wasn't making a connection to my old battery (every time you clicked the battery power button with the new top attached, my battery would just blink over and over and not actually make the connection) But after unscrewing and screwing the top back onto the battery and talking with a employee again, my battery no longer blinked when pressing the power button but instead showed a solid color, showing that the power from the battery is flowing properly to the new oil pen top, unfortunately the pen top is defective and even after going and buying a new battery the pen top still doesn't work, I've loaded small amounts of concentrate. Tried loading a bit more concenatrate just in case I wasn't loading enough, and still nothing. It doesn't smoke, it doesn't vape, it doesn't work. The employee told me, unfortunately because you loaded concentrate into it we can't exchange it or refund, (I never wanted a refund I simply wanted the product I paid for to work properly) and also I'm not sure how I would ever know if the pen worked properly in the first place without loading concentrate into it.. I'm at a loss, I spent $55 plus tax for a out of the box defective product and they simply don't want to fix this issue for me.

P.s I had bought a herb only vaporizer about a year ago from the Vancouver Mary Janes, went home tried smoking herb through it and it was unfortantely the same issue, it was a out of the box defective device. I took it right back to the store and they gave me store credit so I could get a product that actually worked. (And it clearly showed use, again how do you know a product doesn't work if you don't try it)

I really enjoyed this store and the customer service but unfortunately I won't be shopping here anymore and the last thing I'm going to do is recommend business for them, I'd actually be happy to share this experience with anyone I encounter that has a question about Mary Janes, I'm not a scammer or anything of that nature I simply wanted the product I paid for to work.

Staff was pleasant the only three times I have ever been. Staff takes there time to ask you questions and make recommendations. I appreciate that...because so often it feels like this is overlooked when I purchase things anymore.

The last employee was a lady, and she was hilarious. She listened to me and my issue, then hooked me up with this stuff called Kryptonite. It looks like green slime. It was magical. It helped me clean out my bong I have had for 20 years. I admit it has been filthy for the last 12 years and the years before that it would be cleaned only occassionally while veing used constantly. It then sat in a box for a very long time. There was this nasty sludge that was like cement all inside the base that would not come out.

I had been to two other glass stores and had purchased their best products to get it clean, and also tried rubbing alcohol so many times. Nothing would work until I tried this stuff. I wasn't supposed to have to scrape it out, it was just supposed to need rinsing with hot water...but like I said, this stuff was like cement. I did use a craft pick and scrape or chisel the black crust out. Like a dentist cleaning tartar off some teeth. So even though it still required some manual labor, I can honestly say...this stuff was AMAZING. I owe that employee a huge thank you. I will be using this cleaner on all my pipes next. I’ve been here multiple times and can’t ever say I’ve experienced good customer service. My girlfriend and I go together & each time we get a snarky comment about age/no buying things for minors BEFORE they have even looked at our ID’s (we’re 23 & 24 years old). I don’t know if they do this to every customer but it feels so unwelcoming & condescending. This has happened with multiple staff members, not just 1. They have a beautiful glass collection & I get my preroll cones from here, but so unsatisfied with their customer service. I am trying to look for a new shop to go to because my gf and i dread hearing the comments every time we go in. I understand that they probably experience these issues a lot but maybe it should be addressed after...
