House of Conundrum is a fun place to go for events or to have a good day! With plans and reservations cancelling last second, we have been coming here more and more especially for our birthdays! The staff who help us at the counter and get us set up have always been so nice and welcoming. They are also really flexible! We went on 7/25/22 for my birthday and on the way there my axel broke on my car, I was so worried I would be stuck on the road and out $75.00 on the escape room. I called to see what I can do and they were okay with moving my reservation back an hour so I can get help and have another member of the group drive instead of me. It was no extra charge to move it back and we got there on time and had a lot of fun! We also booked day of, no waiting days in advance for a spot which we also loved since everything was so last second! When we arrived we got to speak to the guy in charge and he showed us around at some of the other escape rooms so we can see what they look like before taking us to our reservation and there is a lot of thought and creativity that goes into every room. They are all original designs, you do not need to look anything up all the clues are made by them and in the room. They help you understand what things you shouldn't be taking off the walls so that sort of helps with the anxiety of trying to not break anything haha! It is all so original and I can't wait to try the other rooms. So far we have done saving Lincoln, tomb of doom, and 20,000 leaks under the sea. My favorite by far is tomb of doom. The hints were clever and made sense, and the design of the room is amazing! I recommend that one the most especially if you are into Ancient...
Read moreWent to escape the Final Frontier for a date night. I am a larger person but by no means immobilized or hindered by my size at all. Or, at least I thought I wouldn’t be at Conundrum. (The following contains minor and vague spoilers)In the Final Frontier room, there is a large portion of the puzzle only accessible by crawling. Neither the crawl space, not the door way to get into the crawl space were large enough to fit the width of my shoulders. There is a secondary exit later on, however, the ladder that must be used did not feel sturdy or sufficiently weight bearing. This was something that I noticed throughout the room. Work felt shoddy & cheap, as if I could fall through the floor at any moment. Poor and rushed craftsmanship. Like, don’t get me wrong, I know I am a fat person and I won’t fit in everywhere, literally. But it was really disappointing that I wasn’t able to help participate in like half the puzzles. The majority of this room requires unscrambling a cypher, however, not being accessible for all parties AS WELL AS just being genuinely too hard for the amount of information provided, this task was near impossible even after asking for multiple hints. My partner could not even draw the images of the cypher characters and show them to me due to this issue. Because of this physical barrier restricting me from seeing the same cyphers and codes as my game partner, we were not able to solve the puzzle in time. Incredibly disappointed and will not be...
Read moreI had a blast! Over thinking is what I do, so I have NO shame asking for that hint to help. Once, my buddy and I got our thinking on the right track😄 we just needed to trust in each other's abilities to do what we do. This is a good FIRST DATE IDEA, really gives one perspective whether or not to date the person😉. I would definitely take my first dates here🙃 It was awesome showing my buddy that girls know how to open safes too, LMFAFO! The best part of it ALL was that WE solved it😀 I reccomend this to anyone wanting to have a fun time using the brain. The employees have patience and will not make you regret asking for help (even if a little lock is besting Me..LMFAFO THANK YOU😁. The struggle is very real) I believe we were the last group to go so parking wasn't an issue, but finding it was, because ones ways (not from area😉). I called explained we would be late and the employee was really nice and said it would be ok. I do think it is a little on the expensive side, my buddy had to paid (Go CHIEFS!) so I didn't pay attention to price of it. I took pictures because the door is cleverly hiding in the big sticker and I, almost, walked past it😁 Oh, and on the ground floor below the conundrum house, is I believe axe throwing, walked in there first...if you don't solve your room take your frustrations out throwing...
