Konark Grocers — Attraction in Omaha

We had the most horrible experience after giving so much business to this store. This review is long overdue. The owner really needs to look into the employees that they are hiring. They’re lazy, rude, argumentative and just down right disrespectful. They never answer their phone when we call as we travel from a different city to shop which is ironic because they sure do spend a lot of time talking on their cell phones, ignoring customers and doing anything but helping shoppers. They never greet us when we walk in. They throw groceries into bags with no care and toss the bags to us as if we’re just a burden for them. Don’t forget that WE as customers keep your business running. Every time we ask for help on finding an item they immediately say they don’t have it only for me to find it on my own later on. I asked for an item and the man just looked at me and walked away. I was truly just shocked. We finally said something this last time we went. There were 4 people working but nowhere to be found when it came time for us to be rang up. We had to yell “hello” multiple times before someone finally came out. When confronted why no one was willing to help the employee decided the right thing to do was ARGUE with us. It takes a lot for me to get upset and I had just had it. I called him out as these people have zero business working in customer service. They have no idea how to treat customers properly let alone give them any ounce of respect. No apology just laughed in our face and told us to leave. I’m disgusted. We came in on July 15th around 1 pm. This needs to be looked into and fixed immediately...

The staff os very rude and unprofessional. I went on a Monday when the restaurant is closed (and perhaps when the owners are not around). The person at the checkout counter pretty much threw my stuff around and ended up breaking a few things inside the box. And when I was trying to pay with my card and tap on the machine, he snatched the card from my hands, without asking for permission or asking me for the card and just put his hand all over the machine and checked it out. And when I called him out, saying “you didnt need to just take it out of my hands, you could just ask for the card” he did not utter sorry or anything just gave a little grin and looked down. With everything happening in India right now this is EXTREMELY triggering and disrespectful. To the management/owners of this grocery store/ restaurant, eithet train your staff or don't hire less than optimal...

This store is a treasure house for all those who wish to buy a variety of Indian spices. You name an item from the kitchen of the Indian sub continent & you will find it here. To mention a few, a wide range of sweets, authentic Indian home made snacks & Savouries, fresh vegetables, variety of frozen fruits & vegetables and loads of condiments among other household items.

Here, one would also find all the items from our "Grandma's kitchen" loaded with medicinal properties like, Neem Leaves, Cluster Berry, Moringa leaves, Holy Basil (seasonal), Fenugreek seeds & Leaves among many many other plant based products.

Easy to make items like, Idli & Dosa Batter, Variety of Heat & Eat Indian breads like Paratha, Naan, Kulcha and much more.
