Last week we went and bought 3 Blizzards, all of which were very under filled. My husband called and talked to the GM and she said they would be happy to replace them, so just come in and let them know she had approved it.
We went inside, and first of all, it was very dirty. Sticky floor covered in dirt like it was winter and people had been tracking in dirty snow. We were the only ones at the counter and there was one car at the drive thru. There were 4 people in the front doing nothing. One person, who is apparently a supervisor, slowly wandered over and kind of stood behind the register. I ordered a Blizzard and told him my husband was told they would have 3 free Blizzards per the GM. He said, “I’ve been gone for two days.” I don’t know what that had to do with anything. I said I’m sure you have a log book or something for those kinds of issues and he just looked at me. I motioned to the others and asked if any of them would know anything. Then he said he’d just call the GM right from his cell phone at the register .He said, “These people say that you gave them free Blizzards.” Then he loudly said, “You should have told me!! I didn’t look at the board!” Then he looks at me and said, “She said she can’t do it anymore.” He tried to have a serious face and then started laughing. They ended up making the Blizzards and we left completely flabbergasted by the whole interaction. When we got home and took the lid off we had another Blizzard that looked like the top quarter had been eaten again.
I would be so embarrassed to own a location that is...
Read moreTwice in three weeks I've left this location without purchase. The first time was a regular afternoon (not prime time like lunch hour or dinner hour) about 2pm. I was in line behind two other cars and waited for twelve minutes before deciding my ice cream wasn't worth being late to work for, so I backed out of the drive thru and left.
Today I risked it again, this time it was 7:10pm when I pulled in the drive thru. I was again behind two cars. The first one got an ice cream cone, the second one got a beverage only. It took four minutes to get to the window, and when I did, I then sat there, ignored, for THREE MINUTES. Inside I could see four staff members standing at the counter, and the manager moving about stocking things. The headset girl was apparently befuddled at trying to take the order from the car behind me. Three full minutes, sitting at a closed window at Dairy Queen when all I'd ordered was an ice cream cone... total wait time SEVEN MINUTES for a vanilla cone?? Before I left, I caught the manager's eye, waved my money, and gave him a hands-in-the-air gesture like, "Hello? I'm being ignored over here!" I could see he told headset girl to get to me, and she just stood there looking at him. He pointed to the window, she's still confused, and went back to trying to get the order from the car behind me.
RIDICULOUSLY BAD SERVICE! DO NOT GO TO THIS DAIRY QUEEN IF YOU HOPE TO GET ANYTHING TO EAT.
