I had never even heard of this place, but a friend wanted to meet up here to celebrate her birthday and I was very impressed! I was worried about not having cash for the machines, but they're set up for free play. You just buy a wristband for how long you want to play and just go! My other friend and I got there a bit early before my birthday friend got there, and Ernie was great and let us play for free while we waited. I can't express enough how friendly Ernie is. He gave us a tour of the building and showed us "The Jailhouse" in the back where movies are screened and live music plays. Overall, it's a fantastic, chill atmosphere, and we're really glad to have come across it. There are 30+ pinball machines, a bar to buy alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. Then, in the back, there's of course "The Jailhouse". This place is definitely a very nice "hidden gem" in Opelika! I definitely recommend going if you're looking for a fun/eccentric and relaxed hangout spot!
Thanks for creating such a great spot, Ernie! We'll...
Read moreWhen I first got into the place, the atmosphere in there seems really cool and pretty decent where I won't be bothered by people and meet people by any chance who'll trigger my social anxiety. Well the atmosphere there is the complete opposite of what I anticipated before and I seem to have a great time and night of my life when I came there twice. They even have old classic pinball machines ranging from the 1970s to the modern pinball machines ranging all the way to 2010 (as far as I know). The music pinballs are what make the atmosphere more interesting other than the pinballs without music, whether old school or not. At my first experience here, I was approached by a employee who enhanced my gameplay in there by giving me a tip. Ever since then, I became self conscious and later I started to look for more tips to get better at pinball. I would say that I'm thankful of that man. I'll definitely visit here time to time whenever I'm...
Read moreAmazing place which we stumbled on too. Didn't even know it was located here and we are glad we stopped in. I believe it was the owner we talked too and he was a very nice guy and we enjoyed his mini-tour of the place (was that once an old jail in the back-to be determined). The price to play is very reasonable and they even have adult beverages to consume while you play all the different pin ball machines. I use to work in an actual video game room, back in the day, so this was really cool to visit these machines and show them who was boss! OK, so on some of them, it was nice to be able to just push the start button again because the balls coming back went just way-too-fast. Nothing like perpetual play for the day! If you have some time to kill and want to just hang and not worry about the world for a while, this is a great way to get your mind off things and just let the good times roll...
