Food was okay. The steak in the steak fajitas was tough and bland. The onions, peppers, mushroom and squash were good with the fajitas. Sat on the patio and everything took a long time. For a table of 5 we got one small dish of salsa which didn’t last long. We asked for another set of chips and salsa for the table to share and only received salsa, so the chips ran out. By the time the food came we asked for more salsa and they said the truck didn’t come and they were out of salsa. After we waited 20 minutes for the check, I noticed everyone inside had salsa.

The ladies bathrooms were too dirty for the ladies to use. The men’s bathroom floors were pretty dirty as well. I would hate to see the condition of...

My first time eating here, but it's my son's favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at. It's a nice atmosphere inside, so I will come back later to dine in. However, there's a language barrier here no one hardly speaks English well here and that's a problem for me. In my honest opinion, someone should at least be bilingual if you are going to have an establishment where people predominantly speak English! šŸ™„ On a positive note, my food was delicious. I ordered the nachos supreme with everything. They have a seating area outside as well. It's located in the heart of downtown Opelika. So, if you're ever in the Opelika/Auburn area, you should give it a try. I don't think you'll be...

The food was good but our server was awful. She only came to get our order, drop our order off, and came when we thought we were done but we had been waiting for 20 plus minutes for a refill on our drinks and to order our dessert. The fastest she came was when she saw us put our money out to pay. At first I was thinking that she was busy or something but on our way out I saw her just sitting at the bar talking with coworkers. My mom said she was doing that the whole time we were there. It’s disappointing that the good food was ruined by the terrible service. Also, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and the amount of flies flying around...

We have been eating here for a while now and tonight was terrible. The time before tonight was bad as well. The chicken for the chimichanga wasn’t shredded it was the cut chicken and it was soaking wet. Cheese not melted in quesadilla, melted cheese over top of the beans on one plate but the regular cheese on the other two. Asked for no salad or lettuce or sourcream, still got it. And the carna was all lime. And our waitor said he didn’t know why the kitchen made it like that when we asked why it was done differently than everytime we have been. It has been so good before but I dont know what they have going on now.

Most refreshing little stop on our E-Bike trip in OPELIKA, AL. We often travel around and find little towns and this happened to be right in a family members back door. So close to the historic area of Opelika. There is an active train that runs through downtown still and it’s wonderfully designed as a whole. This restaurant is a common place to find locals from what I hear. The tower drink is a special one I heard from the locals I met. I love this little downtown and there are lots of places around here. The food at Viva La Vida was as expected and fresh. I was surprised at the quality in AL for Mexican food.

I went to have a $6.95 lunch special. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I was impressed with the clean and lively appearance of the restaurant. I was also impressed with the prompt and hospitable service. The salsa that you get with the chips was rich and thick. You know how some of those sauces drip off the chip and all over the menu and table on the way to your mouth? Not this one. I had the chili rellano and tamal, lunch #1, which comes with rice and beans. I’ll try something else next trip. Menu is well illustrated.
