Opelika Rage Room — Local services in Opelika

I spoke to Alex on June 10th and told me I was planning stuff for my son to do on his 13th birthday and on June 24 and I was going to bring him to the Rage Room with him and some friends. I wanted to know how everything worked and what we needed to wear. Was told that on June 24th they would be open from 1pm EST to 10pm EST and I can just show up but we needed to wear close toes shoes and minimum age was 13 years old. I asked if I could just pay for my son, 1 other kid, and myself and than pay the difference with if we had an extra kid the day of. Alex told me, to not worry about it and just show up. June 24th comes around and we show up at 1pm EST and we wait till 1:05pm EST and the gate is still locked. When I called I spoke to a nice lady and she informed me that they are open but only do it by appointments and unfortunately I didn't have one. She did call someone else to see what time they can get us in but that was not going to be till 2:30 EST and we have an escape room book around that time so we would not be able to do the rage room. My biggest issue is with Alex, not telling me about needing an appointment and not letting me make an appointment. It makes me think he doesn't have a good understanding on how his business is running or how the day to day operates happen. I would give this place a 1 star but I gave 2 stars because the lady was very understanding of my frustration. I appreciate her understanding why I was upset. I just think Alex, the owner should be more involved in understanding how his business is running and put out the correct information so maybe next time a dad takes his son and 2 of this friends to this place they will be able to do it. Manager banned us because they failed to go over rules and regulations with us. They are banning me for not keeping my face mask on but it got hot so we took them off for a min . Instead of coming and informing us they chose to ban us instead The place didn’t even give us alot of things to break we had to break stuff that was already left in the room . Horrible experience...

It definitely was fun going there for my birthday. I never knew I needed this! Staff were very nice and gave clear instructions.
