Tiger Town Outdoor Shopping Center — Attraction in Opelika

Quite possibly the most inadequate HD staff I have ever come across, minus the customer service lady who saved the day. At self checkout we notified the clerk the price was not as advertised. She was confused as to what to do and called someone from the tool department over to help. He then said "I can't help with this it is a pressure washer". I had to step in and inform him it was infact a leaf blower. Instead of adjusting the price there at checkout we were instead instructed to proceed with the purchase and then go to customer service for adjustment. Then we had to return the item and ring it up again and pay for it at the newly adjusted price. Even the lady at customer service was baffled as to why they didn't correct this at the register. We ended up with the first charge that was refunded still pending for a couple of days and that was inconvenient as well...

This store is 5 star worthy. The store greater, the cashier and the manager (Kristen) were SUPER NICE to me today.

I went in with a misunderstanding of a refund & everyone was so nice to me.

The store greater assisted me the moment I walked in. I explained my concerns & he called for help right away. He was very courteous and assured me that someone would assist me. Apologizing for the delay with a friendly smile. 🙂

The cashier kept me company at the register with pleasant conversation while I waited to speak with the manager. 🙂

The manager (Kristen), went above and beyond to help me with getting a better understanding of what I misunderstood about the refund. 🙂

I don't shop here often because it's a bit far from home and I just don't have a great need for office supplies. However, after today I may just find a need....

TigerTown offers an okay shopping experience. The reason people go to it is because it's the only big shopping center in Opelika. Most of the big box stores found here are the smallest version of the store that is available, which means the floorplans are smaller, which means the stores typically don't carry their normal selection of items. If you go to a bigger city and go into a Best Buy or Office Depot, then come to the ones at TigerTown, this will make a lot more sense. TigerTown has brought better options for food since it has been here. Traveling a bit further to Columbus, GA (Veterans Exit) offers a much better experience, although it's a bit further...
