I gave 1 star because I had no other choice. Google requires it to be able to post my review. However, I would like to start out on a positive note. The store is clean, produce is ok, not as fresh as they have advertised. Great selection of food and products. Now, I only visit this establishment twice a month because I don’t have a need to come here really. I saw a recipe on TikTok that caught my interest. It is a Spanish soup, Salchichon. I asked the cashier to assist me with finding the right salami, since there was various difference ones in Spanish. Both cashiers weren’t busy, it was a slow day. They didn’t seem eager to help, which was disappointing. She ended up going with me and pointed to one which was no help. Next time I came in it was the same 2 cashier working the registers. Their customer service is lacking severely. The people that they have working the register are prejudice. They smile and interact with their Latin people, and seem to exhibit good customer service. However, I have not had that experience as a paying customer. As I waited my turn at checkout this one lady in particular gave me dirty looks, then babbler something to each other in Spanish. Don’t know what was said, but by their body language it wasn’t pleasant. I put my items on the conveyor and she literally aggressively scan and toss my things in the bag. Today was the final straw. Finished my shopping and when to check out and got the same attitude from her. I was determined to get a name, but forgot to check, if it was wearing a name tag. This place employs people that are prejudice to Americans, particularly people of color. Disgusting! I heard Bravo is a better place to shop if I feel like trying something new. I’ll go their instead. I heard they serve Superb customer service too. Don’t know where they store the audacity to turn up there nose at people considering they are immigrants. I guess they feel inferior to...
Read moreSo the produce was good...mostly fresh some of it wasn't though . This is my second time in there bc where I live its the closest walk but I won't b going there anymore. They made me feel unwelcome both times.. as I'm walking around the store I felt like all the employees were staring at me and I read a review couple pages back saying they are prejudice and I truly believe that. My first time there I was trying to run my debit card I just wanted to get home and an older man and cashier wete speaking Spanish as I'm trying ti pay...he stood over top the credit card machine while I was trying to run my card and the cashier didn't try and stop him anr they continued their conversation then this time I only had 3 items and the girl infront of me had a lot. They brought another cashier over to help and of course she asked the Spanish lady behind me to come to her register and told me to stay...really....not only that just for frozen dinners their prices are SO DARN HIGH. I went there bc I thought chevron was a little high but nope I will take those prices over fancy fruits prices and customer service anytime. I shouldn't be made to feel like I have to b Spanish to b in there. That is extremely wrong and for the things chevron don't have I'll walk the extra blocks to the dollar store bc I WILL NEVER be back...
Read moreSo I recently went to Fancy Fruit and purchased $62 (and change); in groceries. I actually wasted about $40 of those $62. My Yuca root was bad (brown & yellow spots almost all the way through it). Anyone who knows about Yuca root knows that the meat of it should be white. I bought two of them. I bought 5 stalks of celery. My daughter juiced them. And the juice was brown in two days. My asparagus had mold in the bottom of them. I bought a huge bag of seeded grapes that were completely tasteless. I am very disgusted with this experience. And I could not return the items because I trusted that everything was okay; and I threw away the receipt. I shopped there because they have a lot of produce that is hard to find in my area. But I will never shop at Fancy...
