Mill Lake Park — Attraction in Orange City

Great place to take the kids. The splash park is not super fancy but it doesn't need to be. The kids had a wonderful time. There are lots of benches for adults who don't want to get wet situated around the outside of the circle and (a great idea!) in the shade of beautiful trees. There are picnic tables and a pathway around the lake for walkers. The day I was there, one of the bathrooms needed attention but that may have been an unusual occurrence. The water in the drinking fountain was hot, so bring your own. But there was a dog water fountain too, so that was a plus. This is such a cool little park. There is quite a bit of parking compared to normal daily visitors. This park is very handicap accessible and easy to explore on their paved extra wide paths.

The bathrooms are convenient and right next to a very cool little splash pad.

This is very pet friendly with fountains for the pups and doggy bag stations.

The landscaping is nice and makes for a very relaxing stroll around the lake ( .8 mile track ).

Across the street is a skateboard park that's smaller but very nice and a great addition to the community. In addition, there is another playground park across the street. This park also has a path around the fenced in park.

Orange City is continually upgrading and keeping their parks beautiful. Mill Lake is one of the newer additions. Nearly a mile long path wraps around the lake. Several pavilions, and sitting spots along the way. An old basketball hoop has been incorporated in the loop on the back side which serves as one of several parking areas for the park. Summer time at the park is refreshing with a splash pad and lots of sitting area. There is no playground here however across the street is Veteran's Memorial Park.
