Update. No calls, no emails, no response from Silverspot... they don't care.
Bottom line. Split it up, like we are all used to. Go out to eat at a nice restaurant then go to a movie theater. Silverspot tries to combine both, they failed and are awful at both.
My two boys and I were so excited for this movie and dinner experience. Following the instructions online, we arrived 30 minutes before our showtime so we could fully enjoy all of the experience... Only to be so greatly disappointed and frustrated that I am writing to you now. AWFUL!
Went into theater 3, row C, Seats 11, 12, and 13 at 430p for the 5p show. Theater was covered with trash everywhere on all seats so we walked out to the lobby and bought 3 soda drinks at 4:36p on receipt (bartender unable to make a shirley temple, FYI) to give them time to clean it. Strange to tell us to arrive 30 minutes early to order only to have the theater not ready to be entered at that time.
Theater was then cleaned at 450p. Sat in our seats to discover the recline function was BROKEN. Two of the seats fully closed and the third partially out, but none of them able to recline or close, just made a thudding noise and not work. Went to try and get different seats, can't sold out. So stuck in those seats. Terrible.
Now it is 5p and the WIFI is so slow that I can't finish placing my order until 505p, only to have a screen say it was unable to process my order. One person in the entire theater to take orders, that never came to us. So left theater to place order. Found a person in the hallway. Placed order only to have her unable to process my card because the wifi wasn't working. So we had to go to the front ticket counter to place the order for the third time. Only to discover they are OUT OF BUTTER for popcorn, OUT of sausage for pizza, and OUT of buffalo sauce for dipping! What is happening!
Now 5:21pm (on my receipt). Back into the theater, movie has already begun and in a fight scene. I have no idea what is happening. Great, so now I am missing the movie that I arrived 30 minutes early to see.
Movie great, service and experience, terrible.
Also, bathroom dirty and out of paper towels. Main front door entrance far right door broken.
So I just spent $136.65 for this experience?? Unbelievably awful, so disappointed.
Obviously, was understanding the pricing going into the experience and for that price, I expect great service, functioning seats, great food, ect. Got none of that.
What would you do if you were me? Ever come back? Tell others about my experience? Go to the competing full-service theater in Macedonia?
Writing this to you all to try and get all of this fixed and curious to see how you respond.
Lot happening at this location that if I owned it, I would be embarrassed about.
Hope this helps because I left feeling really wronged about ALL of it and paid a hefty price to feel frustrated and taken...

So last year I was planning to come to this theater for the first time to see a Marvel related film and I hesitated and went to another movie theater because I saw really bad reviews about Silverspot here. Bad reviews about the food service. Bad reviews about the staff. Bad reviews all around.
Today I went to Silverspot to see Bad Boys Ride Or Die (a phenomenal 4th installment in the Bad Boys franchise - HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and all my worries about whether the horror stories about Silverspot were true or not were debunked.
When I got there it was very easy. Using their app, the usher KINDLY scanned my QR code, told me which theater I was in and said "Have a nice time". I love that kind of customer service.
I walked into the theater and it was CLEAN. No sticky floors, no popcorn on the floor, nothing. It was SO much nicer than other movie theaters I go to.
The red leather seats were my absolute favorite part. In 32 years on Earth I've never watched a movie in a theater with RECLINING seats that weren't hard or uncomfortable for a big man like me to sit in for two hours. Loved it.
Let's talk about the food service. First off this place can be VERY EXPENSIVE but TRUST ME it's worth it. So I had preordered my food and drinks at the same time I bought my ticket two days before Bad Boys Ride Or Die was released.
When I got to the theater I was shocked to see that my drink was already there waiting for me. No one tampered with it or it didn't seem compromised in any way. The previews were still on so that was fine but no more than 10 minutes after I got my ticket scanned, went to the bathroom and then went into the theater to sit down, my food ARRIVED just before the movie even began.
I was skeptical of a movie theater that served things beside the typical popcorn, candy and soft drinks.
The food was ON POINT. I had the spicy wings and fries. It was on a nice clean plate, the food was plated like Gordon Ramsay was in the kitchen. The food was so damn good.
Like I said earlier, the theater is expensive but I learned in my life that you have to "spend a little extra to have a great time" and I had probably the best movie theater experience in my life.
I'm not being paid or sponsored to say this.
Don't give into the negative reviews and comments about this theater. No business is perfect. Not everyone will have a good experience or a bad experience. Don't damn this business because your night sucked.
In my opinion this is one of the Top 3 best theaters in Cleveland let alone Ohio.
I will never go to another theater again.
Thank you to the Silverspot Cinema staff for your cleanliness, your kindness and your customer service.
You will always have my business as long as you guys are around.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a joke!!! I hate to say it but the food was actually pretty good. My drink was well made also. With that being said our movie started at 8:55 we were told we had till 9:10 or that we had ten minutes to order and the kitchen was done for the night come to find out the bar was also closing which we werenāt told until It was too late to order. I ordered dessert with my meal to ensure that I was able to have dessert. Well needless to say dessert never arrived but I was definitely charged for it. When I went to look for an employee to get my dessert there was no one to be found and was told when I found an employee that all managers were gone for the day and Iād have to call tomorrow for a refund. The amount of people in the theatre I am unsure of but I know at least three movies were playing. Prior to the movie starting I had an emergency phone call I went outside to take my call and remember my movie hadnāt even begun playing I was locked out of the building. My boyfriend went ahead into the movie and ordered our food after I was gone for a bit he came looking for me. When we attempted to re-enter we realized that all the entrances were locked. Iād spent over 100 dollars within the first ten minutes of being in the establishment plus tipping generously. And had no way to get back to our food or the movie. There were no signs anywhere stating that doors would lock and that there was no re-entry to the building after calling over and over and beating on the doors for about 15 minutes someone that was leaving allowed me to gain entry back inside. Upon returning to our seats our food and drinks had just been left sitting there uncovered only he had been given silverware and our dessert was not with our food. We waited about 15 minutes before finally going to look for help to obtain silverware napkins and my dessert to only find house keeping. Whom informed me that all other staff had left for the night. (She was super polite and friendly but was unable to help me in anyway) So I have to call in the morning and ask for a refund for my 10.00 solar dessert. As someone who has been working in the industry for 28 plus years I think for the price of my meal and been given a generous tip itās unprofessional that my server NEVER RETURNED to check us and or our meals. Disappointed is...
