Condado Tacos — Restaurant in Orange

Place is listed with high ratings, so I decided to bring my sister who is visiting from out of state here. Service was pretty bad besides the waitress who took our order. Server, a man, when he served us the food looked like he hated his life and didn't want to be there. We even thanked him for his service and he completely ignored us. He didn't say a word the whole conversation. Food was subpar, the only decent thing was the queso with chips. Then again, the cheese dip was extremely runny. Unless you like sweet tasting chorizo, don't order it in your tacos. I didn't even eat my tacos after tasting the chorizo, I took them to go and ended up just tossing them in trash as I did not want to be rude. My sister ordered a steak rice and bean bowl. The steak is an extra dollar. Within two minutes of ordering, she received her bowl. We thought that was surprising, but it definitely was a red flag. You cannot see any of the meat on the bowl when brought out, the meat should be at the top, no? Instead they hid the little meat there was at the bottom of the bowl. It was only about 3 thin and short slices of steak. You basically pay 10$ for a bowl of rice and beans, tasteless at that. Not worth ordering. You can get a better bowl at chipotle and actually get protein in your bowl. The green salsa has no flavor either, it just tastes watery. Do not order the slush margs either, it just tastes like sugar. I normally do not like to leave reviews, but from the way we were pushed in and out with bad service (besides the waitress who took our order) to poorly made food- I felt that people should really take a second look at the type of food they are eating. Maybe this place is just good for normal...

Arrived here yesterday 5/28 at approximately 2:37pm. Was asked if we wanted to sit outside, we agreed and was seated at around 2:39pm. 23 minutes went by with out a server coming to my table. I watched a table in front of me get seated after me and received their food, and still no sever approached my table. I finally got up and went to the worker at the door who seated us and asked for a manger, she asked if everything was okay and I stated absolutely not, we’ve been here about 25 min and no one has come to our table. The server then runs over and says can I get you some water? I’m completely annoyed at this point and we no longer wanted to sit outside, we asked for a table inside and we were seated at a table with used napkins on the floor all around the table. The waiter comes back about 4 mins later with water, and asked to take our order. After ordering I asked if someone could come sweep because we were literally stepping on several used and disgusting napkins! We got our food within about 10 min, the food wasn’t all that great, which Iv had amazing food from this location before. What got me mad even more was that a manager never came over after I asked for one. I’m not sure if the sever never told the manager or if the manager assumed the problem was fixed because we moved inside and were served. This is terrible customer service. I have been here and supported this business on serval occasions. This is the second time I have dealt with poor service here, I hadn’t been in a few months since the first incident, and after what I went through yesterday, I have concluded that I will not be returning or recommending this place....

On August 19th I patronized Condado in Beachwood, OH. Unfortunately my experience as a customer did not go well. Just to give this story a setting, this restaurant was not full and was well staffed. I am very disappointed and disturbed by my experience. I am gluten free and choose this restaurant since there are many gluten free options. Matter of fact the menu serves many different diets which is an additional plus for me since I also do not consume beef or pork and have not in over 15 years. My diet had to be changed because I have GI (stomach issues). I did let the server (Francesca) know I was gluten sensitive. I placed my order and the food came out looking great. As I was enjoying my food and in deep conversation I bit into my taco and instantly spit the mouthful of food out! Something was very wrong. Very, very wrong! Upon looking at my taco I noticed it was beef. I DO NOT CONSUME BEEF. NOR DID I ORDER BEEF. I ordered a portobello mushroom taco!! This is very disappointing and disturbing to me especially since my server expressed that she was herself a vegetarian and has her own dietary restrictions. Additionally, the person I was with (my Sister) ordered a mango margarita and was brought a house margarita. Then ordered a jalapeño margarita and was brought a mango margarita. I’m not quite certain what was going on with our server, cooks, bartender, or our entire experience but this is a restaurant my Sister chose to come to while here on her vacation and keeping in mind my dietary issues.
