5/10/2025 - Came here for an early Mother's Day dinner. It was great. As usual I have absolutely no complaints. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out. Everything was absolutely great. The food is always on 10. The service didn't disappoint either. Atmosphere was great. It was busy but not overwhelming. It didn't interfere with the timeliness of our service at all. August 2024 - We were here to celebrate my husband's promotion. Everything and everyone at Red's is amazing. It never disappoints. Our steaks were prepared and seasoned perfectly 👌🏽 The side items could easily feed 3-4 people. The bread and that parmesan/oil mix concoction is 🔥 I ate so much bread I actually didn't eat half my food. It was soft, fresh, just out of the oven, and mixed with the blend, it was heaven sent. My taste buds were in a land of pure bliss. I had a filet mignon. My husband had a ribeye. Both regular C.A.B. not the prime. They were great. Our side items were cream of corn (not on the menu), Mac-n-cheese, and truffle mashed potatoes 😋 All delicious. All are making me feel good. The cream of corn was good, but I've definitely had better. It has a breaded topping. It was a little too soupy for me, but it was still not bad. It just wasn't so good that I would feel compelled to order again. The mac-n-cheese was 5 stars 🌟 Not 1 negative thing to say. The truffle potatoes, same, 5 stars 🌟 They honestly have the best potatoes in the steakhouse game. My husband had a cocktail called strawberry mash. 🍓 We are not big on alcohol but we were celebrating, so why not! Well, it was strong! Must've been the gin because they didn't hold back. The bartender did not disappoint! Lastly, they comped us an order of fried powdered donuts with a trio of sauces (chocolate, caramel, and rasberry). We were already so stuffed we weren't sure we'd be able to squeeze out of our booth. These sent us over the edge. They were great!
June 2024 - RED is quickly becoming my favorite steakhouse locally. I have never had a bad experience here. My reservations are always easy, I'm seated immediately, the service is amazing and the food is great! Our waitress was so very attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and the day's specials, and customer oriented. I don't think we ever asked for anything because it appeared before we realized it was needed. She was great. They have a house made steak sauce, but you don't need it. I'm not sure what's all in their steak seasoning, but you don't need sauce at all. It's seasoned to perfection, so you'll have no problems without sauce! I had the CAB filet 8 oz and my husband had the CAB Prime Ribeye 12 oz. The green beans have a lot going on in them. I'm still not sure all they threw in the pot, but it worked! They, too, are seasoned perfectly. I can't believe I had a few scraps to take home because I wanted to eat all of them. Last but not least, the truffle mash potatoes are my favorite potatoes. None of these side items beat the steak, BUT these are very close 2nds. Oh the warm bread they bring with that parmesan olive oil mix is the bomb 💣 To finish up this review, I went to RED in Pinecrest but I'm willing to bet you buying me dinner that any RED location is going to leave you with a big corny smile along with your pants unbuttoned to make room for more food! Ok, stop drooling and make...
Read moreFood was excellent. The service was terrible and I was very surprised seeing that we are never treated like this at the downtown location. We arrived at 905pm. On Wednesday. Immediately was sat down by the hostess Katrina who is very sweet by the way. Loved her energy. Our server came over and did NOT introduce himself. He asked us about drinks. He looked very disappointed as if did not want to take us to begin with. We looked at the appetizers and asked about the fish du jour, this man replied "WE USUALLY RUN OUT OF THINGS AN HOUR BEFORE WERE CLOSED". OK we get it we were the last table but that was uncalled for. We then ordered the crab cake. It was Delicious! Then we looked over wine, ordered 2 glasses of riesling and 1 Rose. When our server came to the table and delivered the wine. He asked us about dinner. We put in a tomato mozzarella salad, king crab, 2 filets one with oscar topping. My friend realized once she put the order in she didnt order a topping for her steak, so she asked If she could order a topping and he told her it was too late. Now the downtown location would've just made it with no issues. The food was delivered and once again it was amazing! I noticed the tomato mozzarella salad I ordered came out when I asked my server where was the salad, HE TOLD ME I DIDNT ORDER IT! WHERE DID YOU FIND THOS GUY?! Our server stares us down as we eat but never comes over to ask us how was our meals. At this point, I'm over the whole Red experience. Another server asks us if we want our food boxed. Takes the food, boxes it, ask us about checks and bring them right after the food was boxed. No dessert or coffee was offered. My water was never refilled. As soon as the other server sees a credit card being put into the check book he immediately comes to pick it up. So we pay and finish our wine, then the GM comes over and says I would be rude to not introduce myself to the ONLY table in the restaurant. Now were super uncomfortable and feel unwanted. He continues on with some general conversation and tells us our servers name by saying you guys can sit with JERRY ALL NIGHT. wow that was the servers name, we never knew, because he never told us. I had high Hope's for pinecrest, I live in the area. But now I'll just continue to go downtown. That was the worst experience I've ever had and the server still made over $50! Jerry was rude, not attentive, had an attitude from beginning to end. We just wanted to have a simple girls night and it ended up being a disaster. Very...
Read moreI canceled my reservation of 9 because of the experience over the phone with their reservation hostess Melanie. Our initial interaction was brief and poor. She lacked courtesy, spoke over me with a crisp tone and was not at all accommodating. I had 2 reservations for my birthday, a party of 5 reserved by credit card as required and a party of 4. I called to add 1 person to the party of 4 and she said NO and we can’t mix reservations that other party of 4 is in a different room than the party of 5 so you won’t be near each other, I said ok because I understood and thanked her. She called me back shortly afterwards to say she could add the additional person to the party of 5 and for some reason mentions, “I know it doesn’t say online but there’s an automatic 20% gratuity for parties of 5 or more” to which I said no problem. An hr later I was made aware that another person canceled so to be courteous I called to update the reservation and asked to speak with the same reservation hostess, not realizing I was speaking her already. Her response was “ this is Melanie what can I help you with NOW?” I made sure she knew I caught the shade, I responded, what YOU can help me with NOW is update my reservation of 4 to 3 because someone canceled. She says you don’t need to update it, our set up is for 4 so no problem if they don’t show it won’t change the seating. I updated the reservation ended the call. After some thought I went online and canceled both reservations. This is why.. I won’t assume but maybe from my voice she gathered that I needed to warned about the 20% gratuity that isn’t disclosed online to anyone else so why tell me.. lastly if most tables are for 4 why upon my initial call was it impossible to move the party of 4 closer? Because she had the power to do it but was unfortunately so unfriendly, so dismissive and lacked the personality of someone who should be on the frontline representing an upscale restaurant that brags of the exquisite experience. Not So! Thanks Melanie for neglecting to take advantage of the opportunity to serve her employer’s guests with courtesy and respect. Not considering their reputation nor the potential of easily earning upwards of $900. She interacted with me 3 times and never changed the crispness of her tone. I’m only sad they didn’t have the option of no stars, since the hostess was my only experience with Red at Pinecrest it would’ve been more suitable than 1 star....
