Say it isn’t so, my hometown mall is closed! So we bid farewell unfortunately to this great little mall! I’d like to praise the operation for 50 years of service to the North Orange Community. It’s been well maintained inside and out, with a clean environment and good security staff! Some outside access stores on the east side have been kept open, as for how long, I can’t say. My only concern with remaining outside businesses has been the lack of a perimeter access road on the crowded east side, alongside Tustin Street. Here traffic is corralled directly in front of stores, conflicting with pedestrian access. Understandable given the north-south width of land and possible traffic backups on Tustin Street otherwise. With Walmart as the dominant retailer, smaller specialty stores may become obsolete. Although Walmart may not have specialized soaps and makeup products and they don’t sell piano’s! I felt helpless losing J. C. Penny’s and Sears and now the inevitable overall loss! I wish I could’ve helped to save this shopping mall, central to our retail community, tho business is business.

It's closing permanently in January, so we decided that a visit to the area was in order. My dear friend & I would meet here once a month for dinner, as the halfway point between our jobs. I also grew up going to this mall when my mom & I would come visit my dad at work just up the street. Keep in mind that the remaining stores are open for Christmas shopping (10am to 8pm 0nly) and they do have a Santa. Let's hope whatever it turns into is a benefit to the area. It's my understanding that all of the eating places & stores not attached to the main building will remain open during construction/renovation.

Ate at the Habit on the north side of Village at Orange where there are a nice collection of our favorite shops, Trader Joe's, Sprouts. Oddly Google map did not come up with the listing for the Habit. We like the salad (preferably without raw onions) and a fish sandwich, preferring the fish on sourdough liking it better than a hamburger style bun. The peach ginger drink we'll not order again. The ginger flavor is too strong. It's an odd combination of flavors, needing an acquired taste.

Went to trader Joe's for cold water before going to the gym. Low and behold, they had none. Not a single serve bottle, not a half pint, not a gallon. Super lame. You're telling me, all these healthy people, and nobody drinks water. Full of it.

So I went next door to Walgreens. I had been in their last month to get water before the gym. Only single use water bottles, but they have plenty of un used shelf space, in the refrigerator. Then they have an actual empty totem, In the cooler. They had plenty of signs posted for water on sale, but they were darn near sold out of everything. I asked a sales person on the floor if he could re stock the water. I'm sorry in advance if this offends anybody, or if I use politically in correct words. So the guy is walking normal, looks normal, I approach, and ask. His response; " you need to talk to the store manager or sales clerk." And walked away. The way he said it , and where he was looking, I knew he had a handicap. I'm over it. I grab the water, head to the line. 3 people in line.

The cashier was elderly. God bless her. But she could have retired 20 years ago. Yes customer service is hard to find, but that's where she needed to be, not behind a register, on a holiday weekend. So she is going as fast ad she can, stopping to ask genuine questions, to make small talk, but then she would vear off course into story land. Geez. So the guy in front of me got 2 energy drinks. They were supposed to be on sale. The manager was next to the open register the whole time doing nothing. Just overseeing. He interrupted, and told the man, that they had not been able to change the visible prices yet. I interrupted. I had enough. I told him that the water needed to be re stocked, and to put gallons of water in the cooler. It's only 100 degrees outside, in summer. Really. W.T.F. . That I'd what I was getting to earlier. When I went a month before, I spoke to another manager about utilizing the shelf space where that empty tote still was, a month later. The man did not purchase anything and left. Now the line to check out is literally 15 people deep. The manager finally opens the next register. I waited in line for 20 minutes, So it's my time to pay for my 2 waters. It's not the advertised price, bc the entire store was mislabeled. I look at the manager. The cashier elderly lady asks if I have a card. I said no. She immediately looks at the person behind me, and asks then if they have a card, and if they would let me use it. Without getting too crazy, I told her .. look. I'm only saving a dollar, and you have costed me a half hour wait for an in and out purchase. This is ridiculous. I gave her the $6 for 2 regular single serve waters, got the receipt so I could call and report this fiasco. I mean really. A grocery store with no water period. And another store with false labels everywhere. Why are you even posting old stuff. Have somebody run through every isle, and take the yellow sale tag off. Oh I'm sorry manager, you don't run do you. Think about it. For being orange county, I guess its laid back. But you have a job, therefore you have a job to do. So do it. And the guy that you have fully dressed as an employee, if you have him on the floor, he should be able to at least take me to the manager. Or say he is going to get somebody to help me. Keep him as a greeter. But if he is walking the floor. Like a normal employee. Let him be normal.

I went to 24 hour fitness, with my 2 overpriced waters. The sauna said 190 degrees when I got in. Amazing. Very clean, very cool temperature. Always a good day.

I went to the loop, handmade handcrafted churros. Out of this world good. Not fair churro, race night churro, swap meet churro..no. no. No. No. No. Seeing it made is one thing. Getting it decorated with toppings is almost unforgettable. But eating one for the first time is indescribable. You really do have to go for yourself. I bought the sampler box and a few full sized. ...

Worst security. I just parked here for moment being tired after work and wanted to just stop for a moment I was on the phone. Security comes flashing his flashlight right in my face. Didn’t keep his distance which would be 6 feet. He actually thought using cuss words at me would intimidate me. Since his tactics weren’t working he called the cops. After he called the cops he left in his car just to keep flashing his light in my direction cause I think he knew I didn’t appreciate that. One I would’ve left peacefully if he approach respectfully kind of like how the cops approached. The security department should rethink their training. Security acting all high and mighty they don’t even have their own patrol cars that I actually started to doubt this one since he was using what look like a personal car. I’ve shopped here through out my life have parked many times to go to Walmart and have chilled in the lot just like today. It wasn’t even pass an hour yet but today was one of those days. Don’t let the security with braids at night scare you. He ain’t nothing. He ain’t a cop either just someone who’s using that “power” he believes he has. Clowns. Treating the parking lot like high school. So tough.

“ if a security guard repeatedly follows or questions someone without any cause, it can rise to the level of harassment. Security personnel are not allowed to intimidate or discriminate against you, and doing so may violate your...

Hi I had a horrible experience at the T-Mobile store. I was told that my phone had a trade in value of $800 and I was only given $400. The associate Tayler was unprofessional and red the terms really fast and I was in disbelieve of the value my phone had and the manager Guadalupe was also unprofessional stepping out of the store and taking personal phone calls while she was clocked in. She came over and said the deal was valid and so we proceeded with the transaction. Only to receive $400 as a trade in. I go to the store and Tyler is unable to help and tells me to wait 3 days for customer service to reach out to me. Customer service never reaches out and when I can Manager Guadalupe she sounds upset and states “ you have to be patient you are not the only one with this issue. “ I have waited for 3 weeks and nothing is being resolved. I went to the Tmobile store in Santa Ana and they said they had to honor it. The store in Orange is not honoring it, had horrible customer service and no one is capable of being professional. They are rude to the customers and are not aware of any promotions going on. I am surprised they have...
