Had my dogs with me on an unexpected trip to go shopping for a couch at the Lazy boy store across the street. After parking in the main area, we crossed the road and went down a 60ft trail into the forest and to our surprise found a nice, big flat area the pups could run around in and play. No one else was there.

This is a “to-be-developed” natural area so don’t expect paved and “accessible” paths. And wear long pants as the paths get grown over. However, we passed through meadows and woodlands on our way to the Mt. Scott creek, dry in July. Park at the Aquatic Center lot and take the most-used path (cross the paved walk/bike path) south and it will take you through a wildflower meadow (nice in July) and on down to the woodland and creek.

Beautiful natural area. Very dense vegetation with significant wetland areas, which makes sense because it’s got 3 creeks!
