Just got a beautiful tin of Belgian chocolate cookies and a box of European dark chocolates for Christmas and upon opening them found after eating a couple that the cookies were stale as the oil seemed to have gone a bit rancid and the chocolate had turned white and tasted off. They told me that since they were holiday items and they weren’t selling them anymore (being the 4th of January) they wouldn’t return them even though they were stale. I was rather shocked as I’ve always felt like Trader Joe’s was a cut above. I’ve never in my life had a grocery store of any kind refuse to return bad product that was recently purchased and returned. I rarely ever leave reviews but felt an obligation to let others know the lack of commitment Trader Joe’s has to the product they sell. I ended up just leaving the product with them to throw out and the employee didn’t care at all about the wasted money in their poor quality product. Unfortunate as I’ve enjoyed many of their products for years and this is the first time I’ve ever brought anything back. I’ll prefer to frequent stores in the future that care more about their customers.
30 minutes later I picked up my wife and shared my experience and she looked up Trader Joe’s return policy and it was completely different than what the employee told me. She convinced me to go back and we talked with Kiera and she took care of it and we were able to shop for some more things and it was all made good which I very much appreciated. Would have been nice to not have to go through the process twice and avoid the frustration, but in the end I was happy Kiera took...
Read moreI love this store for plants, fresh flowers and premade food!! I dont buy produce or meat here as its usually in SO much excess packaging and never lasts more than a day after i buy it before its rotten, OR its way more expensive than a regular grocery store. These things are not this particular locations fault so I can't justify taking off stars. We LOVE the sweet corn tamales, orange chicken, fried rice and mac and cheese bowls as well as all the frozen fruits and vegetables and they are typically priced WAY better than grocery stores. The green goddess fresh dressing is out of this world and good on genuinely everything including pizza. Their seasonal products are always fantastic, grapefruit, peach mango, cedar balsam and honey crisp apple are candles worth traveling there for as well as their dog treats! My pup loves the cookies and the beef rolls-she gets them at a certain time every day and whines when we are taking too long! Last week I got a fairly large monstera delicioso for 12.99!! the same size plant was $40 at home depot. The fresh cut flowers last at LEAST two weeks I don't know what kind of magic they put in then but they are SO worth the cheap price! This location has excellent customer service and is always extremely patient with everyone! I also love that they have "forced" breaks and lunches so everyone is taken care of! I shop here at minimum once a week and I'm so glad they have a location in...
Read moreTrader Joe's is beyond my words.
They always have options for you. Although this place isn't at the level of a Whole Foods or a Sprouts, the produce here is the best produce you can get anywhere. I have never seen a grocery store with more clean, healthy and delicious options.
As a kid, I've tried almost every cuisine there is to try (African, European, Asian, Native American, etc) and I thought I knew it all. Boy, was I wrong! It's almost like every week, just when you think they've ran out of ideas, they come out with a new product that you want all the time.
They have the healthiest chocolate as well. I don't think I have a picture of their chocolate but I've never seen a chocolate bar with less than 10 ingredients.
I absolutely love Trader Joe's and what they do. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because they don't keep their Sparkling Berry Lemonade in stock (even though it flies off the shelves incredibly fast). I am head over heels for their Sparkling Berry Lemonade and it breaks my heart that I always have to buy five of them to last me the month and have to hope that there's more in stock...
