To start off the location is okay not good since it is located on a busy street, making it difficult to pull in or out of their parking. The parking was fairly limited for the amount of people my wife and I saw in there, we had an approximate 15-25 minute wait which was bad considering we showed up around peak business hours etc. Staff was nice and we were brought straight to our table, after sitting about 5 minutes we were brought out the complimentary chips and salsa they do. During that 5 minutes though we were absolutely lost because the menu is way to big, we asked our waitress for any suggestions and didn’t really get any so she just walked away after we ordered drinks. Ten minutes after we ordered our drinks we finally got them. By that time we still couldn’t decide on a meal, so our waitress walked away for another 10 minutes during that time the waiter that brought the chips and salsa came and got us more salsa. We finally ended up ordering a chicken enchilada and taco combo meal that was what my wife chose, and I ordered a 3 chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. My wife did not enjoy here meal at all the chicken taco she said tasted like the chicken just came out of a chunky light chicken can, I agree as she had me try it, it didn’t taste good at all. My meal wasn’t all that bad the mole sauce was bitter and sweet at the same time and you could taste different spices in it, the enchiladas were nothing to brag about, and on both our plates they came loaded with rice and beans which I have no opinion good or bad. Overall the food was not all that great, it was to overwhelming of a menu that I didn’t particularly feel like I wanted what I ordered but I ordered because I couldn’t decide. We ate a little less than half our food then asked for a to go plate. We took our food home and didn’t bother touching it until the next day where we decided we didn’t even want it as leftovers. I will try the restaurant again in the future but so I can give an update to my review to see if my...
Read moreThis was my first time here and the parking situation was a disaster. The parking lot is in the back, over crowded and cars were just kind of parked willy-nilly. It made it very difficult (and possibly dangerous) to maneuver in and out of the area. And dealing with all of that just to find out that there was absolutely no where to park. I ended up parking next door in the Burger King parking lot (🤫 shhh), along with a couple other folks that were going to eat there too. I went at dinner time, around 6, and this place was REEEEALLY busy! I was very pleasantly surprised that our wait was only about 15 minutes. I loved the interior decor, so bright and colorful with traditional tile, pottery, and wall hangings. It's what all Mexican restaurants could take the time to look like, it's nice to have that authentic Mexican Hacienda vibe as part of your dining experience. However, their tables and booths are so close together that it was uncomfortably crowded and very noisy. It took probably 10 minutes or so until our server got to our table to take our drink order, and then it took a couple of reminders for our drinks to finally get to our table. Our server was nice and apologetic, I'm sure things got overlooked because it was just so busy in a little chaotic. The food? Well, it was okay, your standard Mexican food fare. The prices are a bit higher than your average Mexican restaurant, but sadly that extra cost didn't show up in the food. But! Never in a million years would I ever have thought I would say this about Mexican rice..... I absolutely loved this rice! I don't ever eat the rice at Mexican restaurants because it's so bland, but THIS rice! It is very well seasoned and so flavorful that I couldn't get enough! Sadly though, that was the only thing I ate that was memorable. So in conclusion, I more than likely won't go back, but if I do, it definitely will NOT be at...
Read moreOur first visit to this establishment was awesome! Jorge was polite, friendly and made us feel like family. His service was quick and efficient on a busy Friday night. Not to mention the mole and margaritas were top notch.
This visit was extremely disappointing. The server, Angie, needs a lesson on customer service. She came to take our drink order and when we asked where the margaritas were on the menu, she pointed to the bar menu and didn’t even give us a chance to reach for it before she rudely said she would just get us water and come back. Upon her return we decided not to order a margarita so she walked away and came back a little later to take our order. We received our food and it was great just like our first visit but our server never came back to check on us or ask how everything was. The next time we saw her, she slipped the check on the table and walked away before we could even ask for a refill in our water. We never saw her again so we just went to the front to pay. She had 2 other tables around us and continually greeted them with a smile and friendly interaction. I’m not sure what her issue was but we came with the intention of having another $80 bill after drinks and food and walked out spending $30. When a customer asks for an alcoholic beverage, that should be a servers clue that the customer is wanting to spend money.
If we return, we will wait for a table in Jorge’s section and gladly give him our business as he knows how to work. After this experience I don’t think we will be recommending this...
