Beauty & The Balayage — Attraction in Orlando

I have typically booked with Ingrid in the past as she always provides amazing service as well as fully executing exactly what I want to achieve with my hair while still communicating with me about my hair health and how to best take care of it. My most recent time booking with Ingrid something unfortunately came up and she was unable to do my hair on the day of my appointment. No problem at all, we are all human and things come up sometimes and this also is not typical for Ingrid at all. Trina ended up reaching out to me to let me know that unfortunately, Ingrid would not be able to do my hair that day but that she would be more than happy to do my hair for me. I was a bit nervous as I had already builded trust with Ingrid but seeing that Trina was very kind, flexible , and understanding with attempting to make it work to do my hair on top of her regular schedule I decided I would still go in for my appointment. Needless to say, I was absolutely not disappointed. Trina was very kind and personable and was very communicative about the process before we got into her doing my hair and as well as during. I went from having dark chocolate brown hair with a blonde peekaboo to a much more natural brown balliage. She trimmed my hair to where I still had my length but now have some beautiful face framing layers and I am absolutely obsessed with my new hair. Overall, 10/10 services at this salon. Really positive vibes in the salon itself and even better stylists. Ingrid is for sure my go to girl but Trina absolutely outdid herself and I am very glad I was able to get my hair done by her. I booked an appointment online after doing research prior to moving to Florida. I booked an appointment with a stylist who had over 20 years experience. Upon arriving to my appointment I found out the lady had since quit and I was going to have someone doing my hair with about 1 year of experience. My service ended up taking 6 hours and the owner who was experienced just did odd tasks around her salon and never checked in on how the newly practicing stylist was doing. The owner did cut my hair…thank goodness!! After going to a new stylist and asked why my hair was gold on top-I was told she didn’t leave the bleach on long enough to fully process and lighten my hair to the same color as the rest of my hair. When I went to pay for my services with the owner I asked what the lower price would be with a WAY less experienced stylist. She told me that the price would NOT be reduced in fact after checking later to the price I was originally quoted online for a haircut I was charged $10 more. The owner also tried to convince me to do something different for the next time and changed both the price and the timeframe in which I would need to return. I begrudgingly agreed to re book only if she would be the one to do the service. To which she told me her prices were actually higher because of her experience…contradicting her earlier statement. I ultimately cancelled my next appointment and found someone who was both experienced and honest in her business practices. Overcharged and waste of money. Went in for a rose gold balayage and was charged $90 for the color, which washed out in only two washes, when I was using only cold water. Told I only needed a partial balayage to bring up the bleached hair, but when I went it, they only did the crown of my head, and told me I needed to get the full balayage to bring up all the bleached hair, instead of informing me properly before. Called them and asked them to fix it, and the owner didn’t inform the new stylist that she would be fixing it for a discounted rate and that took an hour to figure out before my hair could be started. Then two more hours spent trying to fix it for it to turn out dark brown with a tint of purple, when I wanted a rose gold balayage. Spent hours sitting in the chair bleaching it for it to turn out darker than my natural hair and the wrong color than I requested. Also got money pieces done framing my face, which came out originally half orange and half pink, when it was only supposed to be pink, and was told they can’t fix the orange without damaging my hair, so I have to keep it for 4-6 weeks, then pay again for them to fix it, because they won’t fix it for free even though it’s orange because it was bleached incorrectly. Paid several hundred to get this done before getting photos taken, and it’s not anywhere near what I requested and my hair was bleached for no reason. Waste of...
