Camp Jurassic is an absolute treasure for families visiting Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Tucked away in the Jurassic Park area, it’s more than just a play zone—it’s a full-blown adventure for kids (and even adults who feel like joining in). Our kids absolutely loved running through the rope bridges, climbing towers, exploring caves, and discovering all the little interactive surprises tucked around every corner.
It’s not just “playground” fun—it feels like a real prehistoric expedition. The design immerses you in a lush, Jurassic setting with the sounds of dinosaurs echoing in the distance, making the whole place feel alive. When we do come with kids, we love to stop by here and enjoy some sit down time. This area is great for kids who can't ride the Pteranodon Flyers and some people in your party want to sit and wait for you to go through the queue line. There are plenty of cool caves to walk through and play areas...

And it was shockingly quiet compared to the rest of the park "pockets"... Harry Potter is where everyone flocks to so this was a great spot to settle down and "reset" - diaper changes, clothing changes, snack break, drink break, stroller reset, etc. There's lots of space to sit on the floor and have a picnic without staring at the next...
