went here to get something to eat. the food was alright. not the best ive had but not the worst. pretty nice overall but whether or not it was worth the price is left to question. i had a wrap myself which tasted alright.
however, the server greatly angered me. he did not give me milk. with my tea. the cheek of it! (that was sarcasm. and i did get milk in the end, when i asked at first he thought i meant a bottle of it to drink alone, rather than to put in the tea, different cultures i guess... in all seriousness he was really quite nice.)
the food is done kind of like a buffet where you pick up your food in the queue and then pay for it at the end of the line, where you can get your drinks as well. as i said before it was pretty expensive but i guess that's to be expected.
on the plus side the theming in the restaurant is absolutely brilliant. looking out the windows you really could believe you are in John Hammonds Isla Nublar! you have the beautiful waterfalls of the JP river adventure ride outside of giant windows, and lots of little details all over the inside of the restaurant from dinos on the lampshades to rocks making up part of the buffet counter. frankly its certainly worth the visit if only to take a...
Read moreAfter we were seated, after our order was placed, after I inquired with employees, only then was I informed that the kitchen was running a little slow. "Approximately 35 minutes" slow.
It was like the kitchen was on their lunch break. No food was being delivered to any tables. This wasn't peak time. It was 2:30 in the afternoon on a SLOW park day. I can't imagine how long it would take to get served on a busy day in the parks, especially during a peak time.
The food was ok. Not special. No doubt our opinions were tainted by the long unexpected wait. It was delivered 37 minutes after the order was placed. Is 37 minutes a long time to wait for food to be delivered after an order is placed? It depends on circumstances. This, a "quick service" restaurant in a theme park, was a little much.
If they had informed us, as they should have, that the kitchen was running behind and was experiencing delays, we undoubtedly would have skipped...
Read moreThe food was meh, nothing to write home about. The real problem here was the manager, going around and yelling at people, including us for not only opening the Exit door to get in, but we accidentally sat at a handicap table. We didn't mean any harm when we sat there, except that someone had left a stack of napkins on top of the handicap sign so we didn't even see it until the manager came and removed the napkins. Fair enough, we left the table but you didn't need to come and yell at us for an accident. If she had stayed calm and told us the problem, we would have gladly walked to another table. But no, apparently such an event as going through the exit door or accidentally sitting at a handicap spot warranted an entire fiasco of yelling and screaming. I won't eat here again and Universal should be ashamed of the manager who supposedly 'runs' this restaurant. I didn't catch her name but she was short, stubby and had a long...
