Wait, if this is the nearest planet fitness you DO NOT JOIN. This is the worst experience I've ever had in my life NO JOKE. Couple of occasions, the first one was when I waited on a machine that a person was on that was texting so I just looked at my phone when a staff came to me and said you can't be on you phone. She passed by the same person that was texting on a machine but I was the person she came to. It could of been because that person was her own race. But I over looked that and just tried to forget it. The second time was when my wife was in the massage chair with her eyes shut and I was still working out. By the same staff that stop me before was saying something to all the other staff about my wife. And one by one they would take turns to get out of the front desk and have a look. Then go back and giggle at the front desk. This is their logo "NO JUDGMENT" what a bunch of B.S. The last time I put up with their B.S. was when my pregnant wife was waiting for me by front desk. She grab a seat and was reading a book. Well what do know the same staff that we've had problems in the pass told her she could not sir there and read a book because they need to use those desk to sign people up. But there was no one to sign up at that time. So I had a talk with the manager and he acted as this is the only gym in town. He didn't like that I had an complaint about his staff. He was supposed to maybe make the problem better if not fix it. Instead of doing that he made it worst. He him self no longer says hi or hello or greet at all for that matter. And that staff only gives us a $h!+y look when we come in or go out. So now I don't ever go there even if I still had to pay for the membership because I was still under the one year contract. I still had 6 months of contract, but I rather not go there even if my life depends on it. SO DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR DON'T JOIN!!! Save your self time and money. They also have all these rules like no grunting or dropping weights or the alarm go's off and you'll get kicked out. Well I hope this was helpful tips to help you make some choices. I've join many gyms so I know what's a good gym and what is not. Metro 24/7 is really good same price I pay for planet fitness $20 a month. LA fitness is also good but a little pricey. But they also have everything there. So good luck on your search on a gym...
Read moreI had been a Black Card member at several Planet Fitness locations over an 8-year period and a visiting member at many more locations (I travelled around for work). The different locations were always consistent and I was always satisfied. Then I switched to LA Fitness for purely personal reasons (to work out with a friend). LA Fitness had poor equipment maintenance, terribly short operating hours, and a dysfunctional, hostile staff culture and appalling customer service, both at the gym location itself and on their national 800-number. Their desperate rebranding to Esporta just made things even worse (they don't understand why they're not competitive and didn't try to fix any of their problems; they just changed the name and tweaked the pricing scheme). After two years, I just couldn't take it anymore, and switched back to Planet Fitness, and brought my friend back with me. I mean, I knew LA Fitness/Esporta was awful; that's why I switched back. But it was only after I came back to Planet Fitness that I realized how bad the other gym had really been. It was like coming out of a cult. I felt like I had been brainwashed to tolerate rusty weight stacks, cracked padding, closing at 6pm on weekends and 10pm on weekdays, and nasty or indifferent staff responses to everything, including from the general manager. I couldn't believe I had forgotten how well-maintained Planet Fitness's equipment was, and how nice it felt to be able to work out when I wanted and have polite, competent,...
Read moreHonest Insights from Five Years at Planet Fitness Fashion Square Mall Having frequented Planet Fitness Fashion Square Mall for the past five years, it's only fair to share some candid observations about this fitness location. The staff here deserves a nod for consistently being friendly, courteous, and attentive. They make an effort to maintain a positive vibe, and that's appreciated. The gym itself is kept clean throughout the day, which is a significant plus, regardless of whether you prefer working out in the morning, during your work-from-home lunch break, or in the evenings. What's notable is the gym's community. The fellow gym-goers generally follow proper etiquette, making the atmosphere conducive to a decent workout. It's a refreshing change from some other places where basic courtesy seems to be a rare commodity. Now, here's the snag – the summer school program for high school kids. While the idea might be well-intentioned, the reality is a bit different. Mixing grown adults and high schoolers in the same workout space raises eyebrows. It's not just about boundaries; it's also about practicality. The overcrowding during these times can be a mood-killer for those of us who are actually paying for our gym experience. In a nutshell, my experience at Planet Fitness Fashion Square Mall has been decent, but like any long-term relationship, there are a few quirks. A rethink on the summer school program might just keep things on track...
