One of Ormond Beach's most overlooked parks, and one of its best. Right on the Halifax River / Intracoastal Waterway, it's a great place to visit at any time of the day or evening. A fishing / sightseeing pier with covered gazebo-like terminus; sandy sections great for launching a kayak or paddleboard; a kid's playground; a newly installed multi-station Thrive 450 exercise apparatus (with shade canopy); picnic tables and BBQs; and walkways extending under the Granada Bridge to the north side of the park. Bonus: The cupola from the historic Ormond Hotel is installed in the park and has variable visiting hours. Worth checking out this glimpse into Ormond's past. Plenty of parking . No fees. Lots of people launching boats. This is more like a marina that's got a viewing spot and a jog/walking path. I've been here several times several different days/nights hours... It's always the same for fishing. It's located too far inland for better quality and species of fish. If it rains for a couple of days the brackish water looses what little salinity it holds.
