Cassen Park — Attraction in Ormond Beach

The park includes 3.7 acre riverfront park located along the Halifax River, which consists of Boat Ramp Boating Dock/Pier Fishing Gazebo/Pavillion Picnic Area Restrooms Walk/Jog Bike Path Parking is free on either side of the park.

The North side of the park has beautiful gardens. The fishing pier stretches under the Granada Bridge. The pier is 1400 feet in length from end to end and loops around under the bridge and connects back to land on the north side, The south side has a fish cleaning table and restrooms. The park is well maintained and family friendly.

The bait shop has been at this location for what seems like forever since it has survived the growth around them. Lighted dock. Open 7 days a week. Live and frozen shrimp. This is right by the Granada bridge on the mainland side of Halifax River. It has a couple boat launches and docks and a small fishing store where you can buy bait, fishing gear, and the like. We go here and toss the cast net and usually catch something, most of the time its bait worthy but not all the time. Good place to get shrimp. Have also caught a whole array of other fish species, anywhere in the area you never know what you're going to pull up in your net.
