If I could give less than one star, I would. Worst Outback I've ever been to in my entire life. I used to love it. I went out for a celebratory dinner with my two friends and we ordered a bloomin onion to start. It was solid. I then ordered my steak medium well (it usually comes out medium this way). I added a side of chicken & shrimp. The shrimp usually comes out on a piece of bread so I kindly asked the waitress for no shrimp toast. When my food came out, the shrimp was on bread. My steak was under rare. Almost blue. My chicken had been "dropped in the kitchen" so they brought it out late. It came out finally very dry and the man that put it down on the table brushed his entire arm with hair against my broccoli. The A1 sauce was incredibly watery, so I decided my meal was compromised. I ate some more of the bloomin onion and pulled out a 15 inch hair from my mouth. This was the last straw. I had to speak up. I told my very sweet pregnant waitress I'd like to tell someone. She sent the owner. He introduced himself as "Forest" and claimed to be the owner. I explained it all and he said "we will take care of this." I felt a little better. When he brought the checks out, he had removed the bloomin onion and then discounted me $5. That is an absolute slap in the face for not only a HAIR in my MEAL but a totally ruined meal. Raw steak, arm hair touched broccoli, dry chicken, and shrimp toast. I will never set foot in this embarrassing establishment ever again. Any restaurant owner that has ANY shred of self respect or dignity would not discount only $5 for someone who endured such a poor experience. Had he handled it correctly, I would not be writing this. Forest, this is shameful. This Outback deserves better leadership and would benefit from a dose of pride. Don't come here.
P.S. I tipped the pregnant waitress $25 as she...
Read moreStopped in for a bite to eat at this Outback, probably the worst decision I had made. Waited for 4 mins at the host stand for someone to ask if we needed a table. Got a table in the lounge since it's first come, first served, and then took another 3-4 mins to get a menu. I ordered a Big Bloke beer from the server, and when the manager brought it to the table, it was a small beer. They said they would take care of that (by the end, they corrected the beer issue). Ordered MW Grilled Porkchops and a Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie. The porkchops came out almost raw, and the server came by and noticed the issue and took the porkchops back. 6 mins later, the manager brings them out to the table, and now they are dry and super well done. At this point, it's been almost 40 mins by the time I am able to eat, so I just take the dish as is since I was hungry. My mother, who had the grilled shrimp, ended up getting sick overnight and spent most of the night in the bathroom. The manager took half off the porkchops as well at the end. Are the cooks not trained to temp their food before selling it to the guest? Both dishes were undercooked, I think the cooks need better training in the kitchen. As a former employee of OB, this experience definitely put a bad taste in my mouth about visiting this location again. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the manager, even though they weren't verbal, did discount the check due...
Read moreMy husband and I while vacationing in the area decided to go to our favorite chain restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely hostess and decided to get a drink at the bar. We were welcomed graciously by Tiffany who engaged us in cheerful conversation. We decided to stay at the bar and order dinner. We were saddened to learn that one of our favorite features; the fantastic Wedge Salad was eliminated from the menu by the corporation. That was a disappointment but Tiffany quickly reacted with a similar salad idea and with the addition of bacon would be quite similar. A person dedicated to their guests experience knows to do this. A young, very pleasant bartender Jacob provided a noteworthy backup to Tiffany. He blended an interesting looking peachy drink for a guest. I inquired about what it was which he promptly described. He grabbed a small glass and poured the remaining bit into a glass and put it in front of me. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I asked to speak to the manager and told him that he is lucky to have these intuitive, capable and friendly young people on his staff. I expressed that they represent the Outback brand very well. He agreed and thanked me for the compliment to his staff.
Our dinners were as we hoped. Filets prepared perfectly and swiftly. Excellent job once again. This is why Outback remains our favorite chain. High standards...
