I was there on Saturday for the 8:15 Wicked show. One seat over from me, there was a man talking the entire time. I didn't say anything because the woman he was with was already telling him to be quiet. The longer the show went on, it got worse and he got louder and louder. And it became evident that he was drunk. I had to go to the bathroom and there was about an hour left of the movie. I figured I would tell the manager about the situation after going to the bathroom since I would be over there anyways. She got right on the walkie talkie and sent someone in there. They came and stood near the entrance of the theater for maybe 5 minutes and then left. In those 5 minutes, the drunk man happened to be quiet. So, nothing was done about the situation. Finally, after he started shouting again, my fiance asked him to be quiet. After he asked a second time, the woman he was with decided they should both leave, probably out of embarassment. We got to enjoy the last half hour of the movie in peace. My point is, if someone goes out of their way to tell you someone is being disruptive, they are telling the truth. Please, in the future, remove the person from the theater. Do not just stand there and if you don't see anything happen for 5 minutes, decide everything is fine. Why would anyone lie to the manager and say there is a drunk man shouting? What would I get out of that? I even said which seat he was in. Very disappointed this was not...
Read moreI took my wife and son to this theater last night to watch the new spider man movie. Undeniably the worst movie theater experience I’ve had in the last 20 years. The movie theater itself felt like 99 degrees the entire time my wife and my son were literally sweating. But to top it off there were a group of kids, definitely teenagers that were causing such a disturbance that it ended up forcing us to leave. Running up and down the stairs, talking loud and shining there phone flashlights they clearly weren’t there to watch the movie. I tried to tell the manager Jocelyn about our experience the next day and she almost seemed offended that I would ask for new tickets. In my opinion that should have been a given and maybe even a minimum. All in all, they need to have staff going to check the theater every 15-20min and check the damn temperature. And they may need to train their managers on customer service and etiquette. Giving up 3 tickets vs losing customers for life is not that hard of a choice. My son wanted to see this movie so bad and couldn’t enjoy it for a few different reasons and that made the whole thing feel like a waste of...
Read moreUpdate May 2023. I called Classic Cinema's main office in Downer's Grove to get information for someone who had old Goodrich gift cards, as that is what I did a few years ago. I was told that the policy now is to contact Classic Cinema Kendall Theater itself. I called them, and they were very helpful! Please also note that they have a good Tuesday discount deal and also senior discounts.
Update August 2021. When I went, unfortunately, my former Goodrich gift card didn't work. I called Classic Cinemas, and the lady was so nice. She sent me a Classic Cinema card with the original amount, and it arrived two days after I talked to her! We went back there on Tuesday, and the card worked well. The popcorn is delicious, and there is no refill cost. As we left the movie, the clean-up crew greeted us with mints. What a nice touch! July 2021 original review. Friendly, nice workers. Great Tuesday prices! Very comfortable chairs. Good tasting popcorn. A very pleasant experience. This was my first time there since they...
