Disappointed with the way things were handled leading up to and during our engagement event.
Key details that had been verbally agreed upon such as entry time for setup and prayer were changed shortly before the event. This caused confusion for our guests, some of whom were turned away by security until they were allowed in later.
Just days before the event, we were asked to pay an extra $650 to connect a laptop to the boat’s sound system a cost that was never clearly communicated earlier. Even DJ software was not allowed, which disrupted transitions during special moments.
We were also offered a discount in exchange for personal services, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. After declining, the tone of communication noticeably changed and flexibility diminished.
To make matters worse, when I asked about one of our pedestal stands the very next day, I was told it had already been thrown away despite no prior warning or opportunity to collect it. This added to the overall sense that the venue management was rushed, careless, and not respectful of our items.
While the boat itself was aesthetically nice, the management made the process unnecessarily stressful.
There was a significant lack of flexibility throughout the planning and the event. Anytime we tried to make a simple adjustment or request, it felt like we were being met with resistance instead of support. Rather than finding solutions, management insisted on strict limitations that made it difficult to enjoy the day freely or personalize it.
I would not recommend any couple to use this venue. If you do, please get everything in writing as many previous reviews have...
Read moreMy wife and I were married on the Scarlett Belle in July of 2013. It was an incredible evening. The family and friends that joined us, the amazing staff and owners of the Scarlett Belle and the Boat herself made it a night we will truly never forget. My wife and I now have a 9 month old daughter and since we live on the east coast we only get a chance to visit the area a couple times a year to see family and friends. On our most recent trip we took our daughter to the Boat to she her and share where we got married. It was amazing to see her eyes light up at the sight and for a minute relive all the wonderful memories of that night. We actually ran into the owner and talked about our wedding a little and remembered he was the one driving he boat that night. If you are looking for something a little different and want to make sure everything is done right, check out the Scarlett Belle. The owners, their staff and the boat are an amazing way to being an incredible journey and as they did for us I am sure it would be an experience you would never forget. Thank you again to everyone that made that...
Read moreWe had a blast cruising the Channel Islands Harbor during the holidays on the Scarlett Belle. It was lovely seeing the Christmas lights and amazing to witness Captain Andy not only clear this 80' long, 3 story tall paddlewheel under the Channel Islands Blvd. bridge but also maneuver that beauty within Mandalay Bay. I was equally impressed with how delicious the catered food was and with how lovely and classy everything was decorated. Excellent quality. There was a full bar (on two stories), a DJ and dancing, and the Captain's wife, Michelle, passed out raffle tickets for fun goodies. Whatever the occasion, the Scarlett Belle will provide a unique and memorable experience. Thank you Captain Andy...
