We love this place and go every time we head to my BF's beach house. Specifically, we adore the clam chowder and the oysters Rockefeller. They're a 'must order'. A little tip, add in some of their Manhattan fish soup into the clam chowder (makes it sort of a creamy Manhattan clam chowder), it's delicious in a different way 😋. If you like spicy try the hot & spicy shrimp or the buffalo chicken wings for an appetizer. Truffle fries are always an easy pickin's app. For an entree, the clams have a nice creamy garlic broth. The limoncello mussels are actually in a creamy garlic broth w just a hint of lemon and thyme (beware of this if you're thinking it'll be a real lemony garlic wine broth). Everything comes w awesome toasted garlic bread for dipping in the broth. Any of the blackened fish tacos are a good choice but I think our favorite were the ahi- they claim to be spicy but it's the spice of wasabi, nothing too crazy for any of you sensitive types. If you take a leisurely Duffy boat ride and want to make a stop, there is a dock right near the restaurant to hop off and grab a cocktail but beware that it is a locked dock so without a key you'll need someone to stay behind to reopen it for you. Dogs are welcome here (there are 2 patios) but make sure your dog is friendly please and show common courtesy 😉 Lastly, it's a casual walk up and order type of restaurant with first come first serve seating. If you sit at the bar though, you can order through the bartender. This is also the only place you can order cocktails (as supposed to the food order line where you can only order canned beers and wines as far as I know). Check this place out, it's worth it for fresh seafood in a nice, clean, and casual...
Read moreSo I give the restaurant 5 stars, bartender was great, and Israel was just a gentlemen. Food, brussel sprouts with the parm great roasted to perfection, strawberry salad add salmon yum yum. But let me tell you when there is going to be an event and this event has to do with politics and unsolicited followers pushing there agenda on you it's a mood killer. I myself had to watch a group of people tell Israel who seems to be there go to guy(Does a little of everything) that they could not understand him with his accent and that he didn't need to wear a mask, all this happening while they are trying to put 18 ppl on one table. Come on Americans these restaurant employees who are struggling through this pandemic, are now being expected to police the individuals who they serve they get paid no extra. So I proceeded to walk up to this table and tell them he does not need to take his mask off and no you do not need to move tables. If you go out please respect the restaurant rules they are just trying to stay open to survive after all they are feeding you. Sea Fresh stay awesome. I did not get the managers during our brief conversation but he was on it Kudos to that man for being there for his team. Continue please to make sure your employees are being respected, no dollar is worth the integrity of a loyal employee who works during these rough times to support his family. Sea Fresh you did a great job and people...
Read moreWell , I'm certainly a fan of the Ojai location and had a fabulous first visit here in Oxnard. Returned the second time the shrimp Louie salad was nothing like my first experience. Had to return for crab that was not fresh and the portion of fish was not what I paid for. Came back today since I really love their fresh caught Cajun swordfish sandwich. I ordered to go and may I have a shrimp cocktail why I waited to enjoy the music there. The line is now out the door with the nicest young man taking orders on the phone . People everywhere but none of them including the cook would help me as I watched two other couples ordered after me and we're enjoying their meals. The poor kid is still on the phone with a dozen poplpe in line as he's trying to motion to anyone to assist me Finally out comes the only waitress eating food and trying to assist me with a very sharp attitude. I asked where my shrimp cocktail was as she threw it on the table to go on top of the warm food. Keep in mind the just left as now I wait again to get the balsamic dressing I asked for when I ordered it. She yelled at me and said the cook is getting it. Still seems to be enjoying whatever she's eating and never once offers her co-worker any help with customers.Food is delicious when it's consistent . Service is seriously just horrible . I've never left a bad review anywhere but she really ruined my evening after I drove one hour...
