Honey Cup Coffeehouse & Creamery — Restaurant in Oxnard

Unfortunately, we can't rate the food, as we never got it. We did a $60 order for 4 items through DoorDash for pick-up. We got a notification the order was completed and went to pick up the food. When we arrived, the person at the store said they didn't have ANY of the items available. I asked why the system allowed us to order the items, why it showed as completed, why no one notified us that they couldn't fulfill the order, and she said that only the manager had access to the DoorDash system, and she couldn't message us or cancel the order. They did not offer to contact management, nor did they offer to provide us with any replacement items for the items they didn't have. I asked for a manager, and she referred me to another location. When I called that location, no one answered, so I left a voicemail to please call me back. Since I didn't hear back, the next day, I called again, and I left a message with an actual person asking to please have a manager call me. No one ever called me back, which is rude and unacceptable, especially for a service business. Now, DoorDash has told me too many days have passed (4) since the order, and they can't refund my money, even after spending 45 minutes on the phone waiting for a 'higher up" person to assist. I went here while on a short weekend vacation. I wanted to try the local popular coffee shop and this place was awesome!

I wasn't sure what to get so I told the barista (a lovely lady with blue hair) to recommend something for someone who likes caramel. She recommended a caramel iced latte with oatmilk and while normally I don't care for milk substitutes, this coffee was legit! I'm the kind of person who likes a lot of sweetness in my coffee, but now I'm convinced that I've just never had good coffee. There was minimal sweetener in this coffee but I loved every sip.

I also ordered a couple of their chocolate chip cookies for me and my partner, but we could have split one because they're HUGE! They were soft and chewy with little chocolate chips throughout the entire thing so every bite had chocolate in it!

The next morning I also got a hot cinnamon maple oatmilk latte to go, along with a cinnamon roll (my partner got a croissant 🥐 for himself). That coffee was like a warm hug in liquid form. It tasted like someone transmuted a fresh cinnamon roll waffle into a coffee, and paired with an actual cinnamon roll? Mmm.

The cinnamon roll was soft and had the faint taste of apple, while the croissant was flaky and tender and fresh.

How am I supposed to go back to Starbucks after this? Y'all have ruined me and I wish...

So disappointed with the customer service today. I live across the street (basically.) This place doesn’t have great coffee (unless you put tons of sweetener and cream, in which case anything is fine). I normally drive to Starbucks, right past Honey Cup. Today I was running late for a work Zoom call. I drive over there, but realized after I ordered that I left my wallet at home. The server walked away, so I could have just taken my coffee and left without paying. But I flagged down the not-so-bright other woman and explained that I was late for a Zoom call, and I could come back in about half an hour to pay. She very condescendingly explained I couldn’t walk off with the merchandise without paying. I am staying in in my multi-million dollar second home ACROSS THE STREET. I am not taking your $3+ coffee without paying for it. I pointed out that she was just going to throw it away. She confirmed that without the least bit of irony. So, she would rather throw it away than let me come back with money. Service fail. I ended up doing my Zoom call from the parking lot at Starbucks on Channel Islands Blvd.

I have sent tourists there for coffee and ice cream when asked numerous times. Not anymore. “Gee, I don’t know where you can get coffee or ice cream.”
