I've attended numerous events at the Carson Center since it opened over 20 years ago, including Seinfeld, Larry the Cable Guy, Steven Wright, Beetlejuice the Musical, and, most recently, Long Live: The Journey of Taylor Swift.
The facility itself is elegant, and considering its long-standing presence, it is consistently well-maintained.
I've sat in just about every area of the auditorium, from the balcony to the third row, and I've always had a fantastic experience.
When we saw Beetlejuice The Musical in December 2022, unbeknownst to us when we bought tickets, the musical made its US national tour at the Carson Center. It played for one night before moving out west for a month-long run in San Francisco. It's unbelievable that we have a venue that offers unique opportunities like that.
We sat in the third row for Larry the Cable Guy after winning tickets in November 2011. Before leaving the stage, Larry signed his stage-worn hat. Another great experience at a venue so close to home.
Although we lived in Paducah for over ten years, we now call NW Tennessee home. It's still a great convenience to have a place like the Carson Center to see shows that are within driving distance, without having to stay overnight.
One thing I do appreciate about the Carson Center is that they will offer drink specials (both with and without alcohol) with a theme that corresponds to the show you're seeing. The prices of the drinks are a little on the high side.
In terms of parking, although it's free, you'll need to find a spot near the venue, as there isn't a lot of dedicated space on the property itself.
Since it's located right between St. Louis and Nashville, many big-name talent will book shows during the week here before moving on to the bigger cities on the weekend.
They offer a wide variety of affordable events, especially when you factor in how much extra you'd have to pay if you saw the same show in a bigger city.
It's a beautiful venue, and everyone who works there is always so friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to the...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars I would. I was going to take my daughter to blippi the musical in February but unfortunately we will not be attending. They have their Covid policies in place and was posted on the website. I happened to order and pay over the phone. The representative didn’t say anything about the restrictions on the phone so I thought everything was fine. I then looked on the website thanks to my mom and I had a couple of questions. I called the box office and ended up having to speak with the manager because the first person wasn’t sure on a couple things. Have to have a negative test ok fine whatever. Have to wear a pointless mask fine whatever. What really made me angry was my daughter is special needs and is unable to wear a mask and has a letter from her endocrinologist and her pediatrician stating so. But according to the box office that doesn’t matter. According to them if a child takes their mask off during the performance they will be asked to leave. Really a concert full of kids and they are going to stop the show and tell them to leave? There aren’t a whole lot of things my daughter really enjoys but thanks to the Carson center box office she can’t enjoy one of her absolute favorite things in the world because they will not honor a doctors documentation who by the way went to school for 8 plus years. RIDICULOUS all...
Read moreWe are from the area. My fiancé, who is Active Duty Air Force, and I decided to book the Carson Center for our 2017 wedding. He had worked a full-time unpaid internship for school at the Carson Center several years ago and really liked the venue. Being in the military, we went forward with caution in the event he would have to deploy. Rather than amend the contract, Liz assured us that if he deployed there would not be an issue, “…If we don’t have the date available that you need, then I don’t see how we could not work out refunding the deposit.” It was so comforting hearing that deploying would be a non-issue. Sure enough, my fiancé has been selected to deploy over our wedding date. We tried to work our contingency date but it was taken and complicated altogether. Jeff and staff have since changed their tone and we will not be refunded the deposit unless someone else books the venue on the contract date. They haven't returned our phone calls for one week now. How does this align to their mission statement? I am so upset that they would do that to him after his work there and even sadder they would go back on their word to us since he is deploying. It is out of our control… a little discretion would be so kind! Our ideal perfect date is now tarnished and we...
