Normally a positive experience (with Dwayne) but this last time with another sales rep seemed to go well up until we agreed on a price, and that changed at checkout. Once I arrived home, I flushed mounted the speakers and ran all the speaker wire waiting on the AV Reciever to arrive, which was sold to me as the latest model when that model didn't exist from the manufacturer. The behavior seems to be their way to circumvent the Amazon price match for the same model number (just different features, which was their claim it was a different model). Next, the ceiling-mounted kit (exactly the style I was looking for), was sold to me as a match for that receiver, was not the correct impedance to get the wattage our of that amplifier. I'm complaining because normally the folks behind the "Magnolia" brand are very well educated, and this experience was painful. I spend 1 hour on the phone with Best buy, and they could not help with a price match nor find the order in their system. Speaking with the receiver manufacturer through email was informative and very responsive, kudos to them. I guess I spent over $1000 for a mismatched system and ended up informing Best buy, their website was wrong just to get a "thank you" from them and nothing else for my trouble. Since them, I returned the receiver to "Best Buy" and purchased a receiver that matches my 8 Ohm speakers. The speakers, which I already flush-mounted in my ceiling without knowing of the issues with the receiver, I kept or else they would go back too! My chat conversation with Best buy was probably the worst part, I've included the transcript of the conversation and removed some of my information and the sales rep name (don't want him to lose his job). I hope someone gets wind of this and monitors the impulse behavior of the sales reps when selling mismatched items to customers. And when they screw up, make it up to the customer

Christina D went above and beyond to assure me that my laptops were in good hands and would not be searched. She was patient, understanding and thorough with my checkin process /drop-off at Geek Squad. She asked all the right questions, informed me of the transferring process and time it would take. She was friendly from the start to the end. She is a reason to go to Best Buy, if you want to be treated with respect, kindness and most of all assurance your items will be safe! She is organized, thorough and pleasant to talk to and learn from about the extensive transfer process between laptops. I am sooooo glad I came here today! She made my day! Caring with customer Honest Realistic Intelligent Savvy Tech Idea maker Nice Attentive to All Almost....Closing Time I picked up my laptops from Isaiah and Keith. Isaiah is patient, good at his job, willing to ask for assistance if needed and just an overall great guy! Never once did I feel rushed or uncertain of what was fixed. Thank you. He made sure that I understood all that was done to my laptops (one was destroyed by the hurricane), how to navigate the apps, and answered all my questions with prompt responses. Keith was helpful when I called to let him know I was unable to sign up for an appointment on the app. He went over the issue with me on my phone, explained that sometimes it is not user friendly but he showed me how to make it work. Both of these workers were Awesome to work with and I appreciate their efforts and positive attitudes.

In the end, mine ended up being dead, but it was great they offered me a cheaper solution to try first. Once I bought the cooler - I ran into an issue. Called this store and explained my monitors weren't registering, the guy gave me some things to check (including making sure my ram didn't get dislodged). Turns out that was the problem. I had removed it to have more room to work and didn’t snap it back in properly. Very happy with the experience. Everyone in the store seems to have built their own PC and they know their stuff. 10/10

Customer service at this location has really dropped. Walked through the door and three boys were at the front laughing and talking, which was very upbeat and they greeted me. I asked where the kindles were, and he pointed over towards the corner of the store and sent me on my way mind you, they weren’t helping anybody at the time somebody could’ve walked me over or at minimum they could’ve said if you need help somebody from Customer Service can open the cabinet for you . I get all the way over to the kindles. The cabinet is locked. Have to go all the way back to the front to ask them to grab one for me . Try to quietly express my frustration when I wanted to buy a Kindle and the sales person wouldn’t let me have the box so I could make sure it was the product that I wanted. He insisted that he had to hold it so I could check out. Come to find out because he wouldn’t let me look at it. He picked up the wrong product and I’d specifically specified which price point I was looking for. So of course, we get over to the counter and when it’s wrong, he goes over and grabs the correct one. I quietly said hey I really wish you would’ve let me look at the products so I could see the specs beforehand and he let me know that it was company policy that they had to hold the box. he said no problem. I know you don’t make the policies. I’m just trying to give some feedback using the voice I can because I know this kid is not responsible for company policy. but I felt really thoroughly blown off that I wasn’t able to give feedback. I said you know I don’t really feel like you understood what I was trying to say so he said if you want to speak to the manager, you could speak to the manager. so again the manager is standing right behind him. His name was Matt so I tried to give give my feedback politely to Matt and Matt attitude was extraordinarily piss poor. At some point, Customer should be able to give feedback and be heard. It’s not like I was asking for anything other than a moment of somebody’s time and some listening. And Matt’s piss poor attitude was basically like we have people steal things all the time…. First of all the sales person was literally standing next to me, and all I asked to do was be able to see the package that he had in his hand. So yeah, policy or not, the inability for a manager to discuss a frustration, especially when it’s being worded so politely is infuriating enough for me to come write a review. Also being treated like a thief when I walk into a location that I’ve literally spent thousands of dollars at over the years is also infuriating and it may be policy to treat people like thieves it doesn’t feel good to do business that way. 2 starts because they were at least friendly...

Update 2025

Another home run from Trevor Miller. I am ashamed to say I couldn’t place at first where I recognized him from, but he looked familiar. It was Trevor who I had written my first Best Buy review about several years ago. I had returned a sound bar surround sound system for repairs and it was unrepairable so I got store credit. Of course, the equivalent of what I had was now a new model and $600 some dollars more that I couldn’t afford before taxes and protection plans. I was literally walking around the open box section so depressed because I was thinking there’s no way I’m gonna be able to get another surround sound system like that for the store credit I had, I couldn’t afford it. I ran into Trevor and wow does he know his stuff. I’m someone that researches crazy amounts on everything I buy and I’m always very skeptical. He was so honest and determined to help me figure this out I put my trust in his hands. He came through big time with open box items and sale items that he even had to go on the website to find after he searched physically, all the open box inventory. He really worked hard to help me out. He managed to put together an amazing Sonos surroundsound system that is perfect for what I need and I can build and expand on. I wouldn’t have come home with this quality of a system for that price myself if I had done all the research in the world. He knew the product he knew the sound and he knew the products to put together to make it happen. Not only did I get an amazing sound bar with rear Sonos speakers, but I got it with two year protection plans on all of them and stayed exactly in my price range. Truly impressive!!! Seeing someone that passionate about their craft and working so hard to help you get what you want is the reason the Internet will never replace an in person physical store store. Trevor, I sincerely thank you!

Original review: I came in today inquiring about a PlayStation five and not wanting to spend any more than the cost of the PlayStation to get one. Trevor Miller walked by me and was very friendly so I decided to ask him. He informed me he was actually an ARA with the Geek squad unit but was happy to help me. I can’t say enough about him. Probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in the store. Long story short he answered every question I had and researched every answer to make sure it was correct. I left with a new PS4 game and a total Tech membership. Without even trying he sold me on it and I’m so happy he did. I am a real estate photographer that was getting my drones and equipment from B&H photo. I will now be getting all of my equipment at Best Buy now that I know the discounts I get with...

I recently had the absolute pleasure of working with Cody and Isaac at Best Buy, and I can confidently say that their level of service far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to assist me. I had a variety of needs, some of which were quite specific, and both Cody and Isaac took the time to listen carefully and understand exactly what I was looking for.

Cody was incredibly knowledgeable, guiding me through the different products available, and his expertise truly shone through as he explained the features and benefits of each option. What really stood out to me was the way he made sure I fully understood each product’s capabilities, never rushing me or pushing me toward a particular choice. He was patient, answering all of my questions with clarity and a depth of knowledge that is rare to find.

Isaac, on the other hand, displayed a remarkable attention to detail. He seemed to intuitively understand what I needed, often anticipating my questions before I even asked them. Whether it was setting up a new device, explaining the ins and outs of a complicated piece of technology, or simply offering advice on how to get the most out of my purchase, Isaac was there every step of the way. His calm demeanor and professionalism made the entire experience stress-free and even enjoyable.

What impressed me the most about Cody and Isaac was their ability to work seamlessly as a team. They communicated with each other effortlessly, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was handled efficiently and with the utmost care. It was clear to me that they both take great pride in their work and in making sure that every customer leaves satisfied.

I left Best Buy not only with the products I needed but also with a sense of gratitude for the exceptional service I received. Cody and Isaac are true assets to Best Buy, and I hope that they are recognized for their hard work and dedication. It’s not often that you come across such attentive and caring individuals who are so committed to ensuring that every customer has a positive experience.

If you’re looking for knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful assistance, I cannot recommend Cody and Isaac enough.
