Antique Mall Y'all is the largest antique dealer in South Miami. They are located in Palmetto Bay and have been in business since 1998. They had a previous location but they moved to this storefront in a strip mall in October of 2016.
This store leases space to over a 100 vendors. They also have an estate sale business where they run estate sales in homes that need to be emptied so some items make it here through that. When you walk in you will be required to put your purse in a locker. At first I was kind of put off by this but it is an easy process and honestly it is so easy to knock things over so I didn't have to worry about that and it freed me to move around.
If you love vintage and antiques it is well worth your time to come here because there is a lot to look at. There is multiple rooms of furniture, china, glass, coins, books, maps, vintage and new jewelry, vintage and designer clothing & bags, military items, furniture, art, lighting, rugs, pottery, kitchen, dolls, records, sports memorabilia, linens, clothes, and more. If humans have owned it, they have it. Prices range from a few dollars to hundreds. I love vintage Pyrex and I was not disappointed. I found it all over the store including a casserole dish in the highly coveted turquoise Butterprint pattern that came home with me. I asked if prices were firm and the answer is it depends on what it is so if you fall in love with something don't be afraid to see if it can be discounted. My dish was 20 percent off which was exactly what I wanted to pay. I had a great visit and would definitely stop in again if I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI shouldāve known the environment I was walking into when I saw all the signs on the doorā¦. Starting with āIf you are not vaccinated with a booster please be respectful and continue to wear a maskā and then āplease use hand sanitizer at the entranceā and then āWe accept credit card payments for receipts over $20ā The lady working was having a conversation with someone when we entered. She said āHi have you been here beforeā after saying no she said āWe lock up purses and bagsā and just continued her conversation. A good employee would have told her friend one moment while she assisted us in the locking away our belongings process. I wouldāve been totally fine with that policy had she been just a bit welcoming and a normal tone. So unfortunate I made a whole drive to come to this so called āmallā. Thank goodness the antique store next door was run by a very pleasant woman so glad I brought my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuch a terrible experience with the older lady who works at this store. They force you to put up your purse in a run down sketchy gym locker system before you can shop in the store. I understand the policy for large bulky purses or bags, but I was carrying a wristlet that fit in my hand which would be impossible to bang into anything and wasn't even large enough to steal anything. You will be confronted upon entering the store and told to lock up your personal belongings. Hostile environment. Not welcoming. I walked out because I didn't want to lock up my wristlet. Take your business where youāre treated with respect and the owner clearly doesn't care because there's dozens of negative reviews about this policy. EDIT: Her response to my review is not valid as I was not the person she identified. I did not have a bag that swung. My wristlet...
